What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Yeah, GT, that little Peanut is the one I've carried nearly everyday since she came into this world. I really don't know if I could ask for much more out of a pocket knife, and I hope her seeing me use it for the years to come will remind her of me when I'm long gone.

The handle on that Taramundi is gorgeous! Did you purchase that one while visiting your daughter or did she snag that one for you?
Very cool, Shawn! I'm sure that the peanut will eventually be very meaningful to her (Claire?)!
Thanks for the Taramundi compliment; it's an incredible little knife. I bought it in Sevilla, Spain when my daughter gave me a "guided tour" of several Spanish cities. You can read a little about it here if you're interested: http://www.bladeforums.com/threads/knives-from-my-spanish-holidays.1257687/page-2

Gary, thank you my friend for your always kind and thoughtful words. I had not even thought about my BF Anniversary coming up soon. Thanks for reminding me! :)
You're welcome, Ron; I thought I should remind you just in case. You know how dangerous it can be to forget an anniversary! ;):D

Carried my first 73 Stag and my Hartkoph today for Stag Saturday. Was very busy until after dark so have to use old photos

...

Whenever I carry the Harthoph , I get reminded of how much we enjoyed our visit in May 2017 to Germany and visited a monastery in Ansdech , Germany and not only enjoyed the tour of it but also a great meal , and for my taste the best Dark Beer that I have ever had . I have included a picture taken inside the church there and a picture of my noon lunch . I hope you do not mind ....

Two incredibly handsome stag knives, Harry, and fascinating vacation shots!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

That Sodbuster Jr looks like it definitely earns its keep, Keith!:cool:

This picture is actually in my backyard, and the tent is set up so I have a bit more shade when doing some airgun plinking in my backyard.
However my best friend buttercup there does often like to lay in it sometimes.
Making your own shade in the summer is a smart idea, H&S!;)

This same day last year, I had my Nifebrite #71 Bull Nose in my pocket when we went to the hospital and my wife gave birth to our first kiddo, Eleanor. Here she is with that knife back then.

I had the same knife in my pocket today as we celebrated her first birthday. Here she is carrying it around the driveway.

(Kid hardly stands still long enough to get a photo that isn't blurry.) :D
Cool photos and sweet memories, Barrett!:thumbsup: I wonder how many years you'll be able to get a birthday shot of Eleanor and the Bull Nose before she starts giving you the eye roll and the exasperated, "Daaad..." :D

...Thanks GT, three great knives there my friend
...
Oops! Forgot to include today's carries! :D Have a great Sunday folks :)

Thanks for affirming my knife choices, Jack. :) Dynamite Davison and boffo BSA you've posted today!!:cool::thumbsup:

GT, thanks for the compliments. The sheepsfoot blade on the Apprentice is as you suspected a chisel grind just like the Electrician models.
...
Thanks for the confirmation, Bob. I could easily "go off the deep end" searching out variations on the Pioneer (Apprentice, Solo, Settler, X) and a rainbow of Alox colors!

Have a peaceful Sunday folks!
Headed out to pick up some provisions. The mowing and gardening is done and my better half says she's making spaghetti and meatballs today. Life is good!

Along for the ride, Lloyd Shadow Trapper and a Talley City Knife.

Don't always say it publicly, but almost daily I privately admire your knives, Gary! I think they make me speechless, especially that shadow Lloyd lately!:cool::cool::thumbsup:

I also really like it, thank you Mr. GT.
I also like your knives especially from Taramundi.
Thanks, Pt-Luso! :)

Enzo Necker with me today, hope everyone is having a great weekend.

That Blue Farmer sure catches my attention each time you post to, Tom!:thumbsup:

Gifted knife day for me. Yankee Jack from BigBiscuit ring knife from Jack Black. Both are fine gentlemen I am proud to call friends.

Great idea, Randy!:cool: My favorite knives are the souvenirs of people and places, the ones with some sentimental attachments.

And a blue Esquire today.

Man, some of those acrylic Esquires are overwhelming!!!:cool::thumbsup:

My rotation schedule "officially" applies only to Monday through Friday, so I can do some "impulse carrying" on the weekends if I so desire. This weekend, I was messing around with some knives I ordered on July 4. I'll debut them more formally some other time, but here's a quick preview of my latest acquisitions, including a couple of hats.

Oh it is matter of fact the other day my buddy saw it and asked what it was I told him. He then asked if he could see it before I handed it to him I warned him it was sharp. Well handing it back his finger is bleeding he says I never even felt it. I responded yep told you it was sharp.

For me this week, my Euro Knife of the Week is a JJ Martinez sodbuster, pictured (not very clearly :() alongside the Case CV chestnut jigged bone Sodbuster Jr I carry every day, every week:

GT, I like this JJ Martinez sodbuster and have been looking for one. . Can you help me with where you acquired this one?
Thx Mark

I've been carrying this around New mexico for the last couple weeks. It's a great knife, and it's a pretty smart design. The lock makes it a lot better for pocket carry than most of the modern one handed designs I've used over the years.

A new Anza fixed blade "Kern River." These are great little blades for the price. I couldn't pass up this model with elk antler handle. The fit and finish is great, and super sharp.

Nice-looking blade  Anza knives look like great value too :) Kind of pricey and hard to obtain here unfortunately :(

Hi fellas only second post here.

Thanks pal, nice bunch of knives there, and I like your new hats :) What are the Barlows in the second and third pic, if I may ask?

Wonderful pictures!!! How did you keep the blue handle color (and coin reflection) among the all gray tone background? Well above my technical abilities. :)

Thanks! You have too edit the photo that way but it's easy. I use the Color Splash on Android phones.
