Thanks Ted! Your drop point is quite a looker!![]()
Alan, that was actually the first of 4 Ohtas for me. It's been awhile since I've carried it. I do like the drop point blade and the build is flawless. Nice little knife.Peregrin
Gary, is that Ohta new? It's rather unusual. Almost tear drop but not quite with a simple drop point blade. The stag goes without saying. As per for Mr. Ohta, magnificent.
Nice little knife.
Very nice indeed! Great looking way to carry a knife. Thanks! I did not make it, actually. The stamp on the back reads:
A&M
Leatherworks
Texas
I picked it out of the Rolling GAW box in Round 9. I definitely needed something with a bail on it to get it out of the sheath, and I hadn't carried my TL-29 in while. Seemed like a no-brainer.
That fixed blade is an Enzo necker? I have had two of those, I gave one scandi model as a gift to friend. The black micarta handle ffg model I have has seen some life and is scratched, I should do something about it. Nice little knives. Here ya go. It's a reuse photo but best I can do for 6-8 weeks. Case/Bose collaboration in chestnut jigged bone. It's new but not quite perfect. The main blade is off center enough to touch the clip so I sent it in for some tweaking. I got on tom Ploppert's list for a lock back whittler (probably be 2018 as it's tedious pattern and he doesn't like to do them often, there is two in front of me) but I wanted to try out carrying one for awhile before then so picked this up to test it out. I like my stockman and had never tried a whittler so was as good a time as any.

Thanks for the sodbuster compliment, Jack. Although I think of myself as a proponent of multi-blade folders, I've gradually acquired several sodbuster patterns that are more than satisfactory! The blade's the thing for me, I think!
You're starting off the week with a couple of aged aces!!

Trying to decide what knives to take when we go on vacation starting next Saturday. To help me get in the mood, I looked at some of my pics from the past couple of years. Here are some favorites:

Thanks for learnin' me something, Dee.Dinner was some kind of microwave stew made of whatever I could find in the fridge.
Potato, carrots, celery, broccoli, onions, cauliflower, a left-over hamburger, some kind of chicken hotdog with pimentos built into it, and a little salsa!
If you have the leather sheath be noticed, they loosen up. If it does you can put a rivet through somewhere near the throat of the sheath to tighten it back for decent retention. Visually I like them more than kydex but they have this problem. That fixed blade is an Enzo necker? I have had two of those, I gave one scandi model as a gift to friend. A change up for today, just because. About the same size, just a different approach. Queen liner lock tear drop and the venerable Douk-Douk
VeryniceThis little Northwoods Norfolk worms it's way into my pocket often. I love the depth in those covers.
