What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Cool complementary coloring on that couple, Jack!:cool:
...

Thanks for your supportive responses, Jack! :) I finished my breakfast only a couple of hours ago, but that stew looks delectable!:p

Thank you my friend :) I was hoping to get some more of that stew tomorrow night, but my pal's just cancelled :( Maybe I'll go in for lunch! ;) :D

Lancer. Yeah, it's a small knife, alright. While I don't have as regimented organized a carry schedule as you, I have certain preferences. If I'm carrying a large bladed knife, I want to pair it with something small.

I reckon there are one or two of us ;) :D

Tidioute 92 Ebony Talon today :)

Classy carry, Ron! The wood is lustrous.

Noteworthy knife, Dean!:thumbsup: Thanks for the Recruit comment; I bought that one in an antique shop in Northern Michigan, and I consider the Recruit to be the Mother of Red Celidor SAKs. ;)

- GT

Thanks, Gary. I think the Recruit is the right SAK to get recruited into the cult.

Colorful, Dee, and the 15 looks like a favorite user.

Thanks Dean!

One of my favorite 15's, and SS to boot.
(P.S.) Recycling is good. :D

Thanks, Dee!

Today is my Case Rogers Walnut stockman 63090. Great size for summer carry. I took this photo today on a very 'interesting' hike through some local wetlands.

This thread is leaving me in the dust! I posted here once today already, but that was mostly catch-up from yesterday (and maybe earlier?). So I'm gonna do one more post in this thread today and then take a deep breath.

My user "factory second" snake wood viper

Snakewood on a Viper is just SO right! ;) Jeff, do you have any idea why that beauty was a "second"?

It's a two Barlow day for me.

Brilliant brace of Barlows, Randy!:thumbsup: It's also a super-cool photo that made me think of pirates: cutlasses crossed in front of a treasure chest overflowing with pieces of eight!! :D:thumbsup::cool:

Couple of very attractive small knives, Harry!:cool: The bone and the threaded bolsters really work for those knives.

It must just be a trick of the light. That one is definitely steel under that black. Now you have me wanting a brass handled Douk Douk!

For wooden Wednesday

Wonderful whittler on steroids, FBC!;)
Sorry to create the desire for a brass Douk-Douk; I know Mercators and Higonokamis come in brass, but I don't think Douk-Douks do. :(

...
I'm off to the docs this morning, so thought I'd pair my Needham Lambsfoot with my Winchester Doctor's Knife :)

Useful pair of knives, Jack, but I hope you didn't let the physician actually use the doctor's knife on you!

Beautiful Portuguese knife Mr. GT, I really like ...
Today I carry the Portuguese with stag covers!!!

Thanks, Pt-Luso. I always enjoy seeing that phenomenal pair of Portuguese stag knives!:cool::thumbsup:

I like how in low light you can see that nickel-silver bolsters are a different color than the steel blade. In bright light it all just looks silver.
What a captivating canoe, Travman!!!:thumbsup:

Today I have my Glennbad modded Sodbuster with me.

Superlative stag on that SBJr, Randy (and Glenn)!!:thumbsup:

I'm drawn to equal-end patterns, and that's a beauty, Steve!!:thumbsup: (I have no idea what knife it is though. :()

Thanks Gary!
It's a customized MiniChamp.

Three beauties with covers full of character.
Thanks, Dee. That MiniChamp is MaxiCool!;)

Tough to top an EO 2-blade 85!!:cool::thumbsup:

You're right about the Recruit, I'll bet. :)
As I mentioned to Harry above, that recent series from Case is very appealing, and your stockman is no exception!!:thumbsup::cool:

I've got a black bladed Douk Douk and a black Pioneer in my pockets today.

That's a dandy dark duo, Spencergarden!! :cool::cool:

In my watch pocket this week are a couple of Rough Riders, a small stockman that I carry every week (thanks, r8shell) and a lockback dogleg mini canoe:

Thanks GT, I held onto the knife, but the doc still wanted my blood! ;) Always a treat to see that one :) Don't hold your breath too long my friend! :D

I had not seen the orange and acorn shield before. I really like that combination. Looks like the perfect woodsmans knife. Very cool.
Thanks Grateful. It's actually an EDC from last summer, if I remember correctly. A bit of a frankenknife, with Delrin and lined bolster. But I'm very happy with a stainless GEC on muggy August days.

That black Pioneer is a winner, Ron! (And IIRC it's not your ONLY Alox example. ;))

Gary you got me there my friend! Your RR Canoe is a beautiful knife and this is a great photo!

Classy carry, Ron! The wood is lustrous.

Thanks Dean! :)

Thanks buddy! :D

Thinking about a few items for a trip. :D This #73 will be making the pilgrimage for the third time! I can hardly wait!

There is a TEEEEEENY TINY little crack at the narrow side of the lanyard hole that you practically need a magnifying glass to notice. They filled it with epoxy or something too so I am utterly unconcerned about it.

A gentlemen's bowie from the late, John White M.S., along with a dogleg from Rick, bark elephant and mammoth ivory. Getting smokey here, fire season is in full effect.

Good to see you posting pictures of your excellent knives again Kris !!!!! I suppose your new little farm is keeping you very busy .
