Gerber made some really nice knives in the 70's. I had several including the Folding Sportsman with the Solingen blade. The Gerbers were very slim in comparison to the Buck 110.

Hope everyone has had a relaxing Saturday! I for one have really enjoyed my 1st day of leisure since returning home from the Rendezvous. Hopefully tomorrow we be a nice day for some photos. This souvenir from the 2015 Rendezvous was my Stag choice for today. A 76 Outlaw Jack, the first knife I ever bought from the GEC store and Christine. :D

Back home from vacation at about 4pm today. Since then, I've unpacked the car, mowed the lawn, got groceries, and am working on the 5th load of laundry. I'd like to get some sleep, but these days I get so wired on caffeine to stay awake driving that sleep might be a challenge! I'll try to catch up at least a little bit with this thread tomorrow, I hope. :) Couple of shots of knives that went with us on vacation, showing off some blue sky and water:

GT my friend I'm sorry your holiday is over but sure hope you had a great time. I remember you said your wife was delayed a day to take your dog to the vet, nothing serious I hope.

The two latest additions to my slipjoint collection. The Trestle Pine Topper still needs a better edge but it's already a great EDC knife.

I LOVE the clip on that Trestle. Been taking a serious look a their knives. The brass really makes that knife pop. Nice Maratac light, too.

I totally agree! The clip blade with that saber grind is really great. I was not the biggest fan when they started using brass bolsters instead of nickel silver but by now I even prefer this, especially in combination with the oak wood. It gives it a really nice vintage look while the premium steel and the sturdy build make it a great EDC user knife. I wrote a small review here a few days ago:

I know the feeling GT, I've only been away for a few days, but still got back to a pile of 'stuff'! Hope you had a great vacation, and that's an excellent shot of your Douk. Not sure what I'm going to be carrying today, but here's a couple of pics of knives I had with me hiking in the English Peak District. Hope everyone has a great Sunday :)

Recycled photo, but today is church day so the ivory Davison coming along. I'll prolly bring the black Enzo also. I think it's my turn to man the grill and it'll be an good sausage slicer. (I am a greeter to make myself be more socialiable, and we have sausage and donuts for first time visitor, although kids eat most of the donuts and we eat most of the sausage lol)
