Stunning combinations

Settled on these two for today :)

Got this from @Half/Stop Ron last week and since I really like 73's , I carried it today . I also thought it would be a real hoot to see my friends , who really do not know anything about knives , reactions when I tell them that I have a Left Handed Knife .

...
Thanks for a fine knife Ron .
Harry
That lefty 73 is A-1, Harry! :thumbsup::cool:

Seeing yours makes me want to carry my pocket pal next week maybe starting this weekend:thumbsup:

I stopped by an antique store when I was staying at my mom's, and most of the knives were more than I was willing to pay though there were a few Rogers and keen kutter.
They did have a real rusty one without a price tag that I was interested in because I thought it could end up being be an imperial Kamp king in my pocket for a good price, but it turned out to be a Sabre Japan missing it's bail so I didn't even bother to ask for a price.
Vic's Pocket Pal is the bee's knees alright!:D
Your experience with antique stores is quite similar to mine. But the little antique store I go to on our annual vacation has some knives (usually Victorinox) for reasonable prices.

lambertiana, that Queen is Captivating, Covetable, and Classy!:cool:

Harry I hope you enjoy your new South Paw 73 my friend! I am way behind posting this week. Took a week off from work and it feels like it will take two to get caught back up! That is some fine looking Bone on that 73. If I didn't have its twin in my safe it would have still been living in Tennessee! But I do know it is with a true friend and 73 lover! :D
Way to go, Ron!:cool::thumbsup: I appreciate your thoughtfulness and generosity, as evidenced (most recently) by that fine gift to Harry! I hope you get caught upat work soon!

It is a SAK Gardener without shield. They were given out to employees at a garden center appropriately enough, and expected to be turned in when you left. But the center burned down on my day off, so the knife stayed with me.
...
Yes, this is a fascinating place for those with an inquisitive mind.:thumbsup:
That Gardener is a dark dandy, Tom, and I enjoyed reading the backstory, too!:cool: I think I was originally confused because I thought I saw a secondary blade in your pic, but when I went back to look again, I discovered that it was a white (flash reflection?) blade of grass running adjacent and parallel to the bottom of the knife. (Is there a difference between Vic's Gardener and floral knife??)

That horn Ettrick is looking very earthy, r8shell!!:cool::thumbsup:

Todays carry, #68 Pony Jack, all Steel and Antique Yellow Jigged Bone. What's not to like? :D

You're right, Ron, the Pony Jack is flawless!!:cool:

Thanks GT, very nice vacation finds! That ALOX could tell some stories :). I am not a SAK expert by any means, but did find this:

A custom and a limited edition for me today:

Thanks for the SAK link, Tom.:) I happened to run across that same link, and thought it might apply to only the nylon-handled Econoline models, but maybe that's what this Pocket Pal I found is.
Groovy pairing of knives in your photo!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

OLsen OK 511 Howard City, MI (1978 or earlier, I think). This is my EDC Olsen so it has been cleaned (it was green tarnish on one side, and brown "crust" on the other when I got it), lubed, and kept sharp. Very handy "sharp finger".

Holy Howard City!! That's not far from where I live, but I've never seen, nor even heard of, Olsen knives before!:cool::cool::thumbsup: That's a heck of an unusual and hypnotic knife, Stuart!

Looks like an impeccable lambsfoot, Randy!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Rosewood handles?

Had this Rough Rider large liner lock sodbuster with me today, and it sliced up some summer sausage for a lunch sandwich in a tasty way.

Today, I'm carrying a different Ettrick (Catonsville Pocket & Pen Knife Co.)
I find that the CPPKC Ettrick that I have has proved to be quite a good knife indeed! I have given several as gifts (they offered a quantity discount at the time), and each one that I have handled has been well made. The curved handle sure is easy on the hand, as well as in the pocket. Certainly one of my favorites to carry.
