What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I carried this one today, after picking it up for the princely sum of $2.87 (shipped)...

I spent quite a bit of time holding it, thinking what a nice, slim little knife with a whole lot of blade... The single blade dogleg is like a tiny Slimline Trapper. but as much as I try, I can't fall in love with that brown Delrin, or the capped end, or the overall shoddy fit and finish... So, this evening I went out to the garage and gave it a little face lift.

I think I'll carry again tomorrow, hopefully the light is good I can get an ok picture ;)

image.jpg Work horse Barlow in 1095, 2017 production. I peened the pivot pin to elimininate what was a shocking amount of blade play, adjusted the kickers and back squares, reprofiled and sharpened. The springs are weak, but acceptable. It's a bit of a clunker but a great work knife that should give me good service for many years in my job as a carpenter.

P.S. Hello all, g'day, first post, great to be here. I'm new to the forum, but not to using knives. I have been a traditional folder enthusiast my whole life, and am glad to have found this 'place', I'm learning lots, and I love the tone here on the trad forum!

Jack Black Jack Black Sleep well, my friend.

Thank you for the kind thought, it worked like a charm :) :thumbsup:

Thanks, Jack. "Up with the larks" is a new (and delightful) phrase to me! :cool::)
I'm enjoying your recent interspecies combinations - lambs/squirrels, stag/unicorn, etc. :thumbsup::cool:;)

That phrase is even older than me here GT ;) You make it sound like I have Noah's Ark in my pocket! :D :thumbsup:

Nice combination Dylan :thumbsup:

Good Morning, Forumites.

I use this knife almost daily. It is my most used knife. I bought it from @Lake Runner for $20. Quite possibly, the best $20 I've spent. Well...it's really up there. I carry it and a Maratac AA, every night around the house.
