Am going out tonight, so I need a carry knife to match my attire - Case equal end pen with imitation pearl scales. This one is from 1905-1920 and is 3 1/4" closed, but I'm not sure that it is a Pattern 30. Need to do some more research (and get debris out of the nail pull).

Wow, that Case is in beautiful shape!

Back in the saddle again... Lost my bullet pen earlier this week. It was chrome, and I found this brass one, like it better. And I want to thank @Chief for helping restore burnt orange jigged bone to my life. I've been missing one of these for a while. The SAK Waiter always rides, too. Nice to have that extra blade, the screwdriver definitely, and the toothpick especially.

Nary a hipster...appears to be mostly over-tanned retirees from Boca and Miami.
The Old North State has a long history of the seasonal (pre-air conditioning) visitor traffic from NYC to Asheville/Blowing Rock to Miami and back. The Vanderbilts and Flagler were related in many ways. It explains the early over abundance of fine antique stores in Flat Rock, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, et al. Now, Portlandia has descended on As-ville.
