What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I've admired that old Craftsman since you first posted it. I've asked Glennbad to rehandle an old Western Barlow of mine with some of that jiggled bone if he has any left. I'm looking forward to seeing the results.

Thank you! Glenn really outdid himself with my old Craftsman. His work will fit right into your astounding Barlow collection. Be sure to post some pictures once you get it back!

Best wishes to those affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma and to those still touched by the memories of 9/11.
Case pattern 009R and a C+K Lockwood Brothers barehead jack will get me through the day.

Two fine knives there Stuart, but I particularly like the Lockwood Bros, outstanding

Thanks, Jack. It's a real conversation starter. A lot of my buddies use knives, but don't collect or research them. When I pull out this knife (or an old redbone Case or Winterbottom bone Queen) during a round of drinks, the tongues start to wag. They appreciate the quality and craftsmanship put into the older knives (and some newer ones, too).

I bet it is Stuart :) I am also a lover of the history of these old knives

Ahhh, old redbone Case and an old winterbottom bone Queen - your post made me go looking for these two oldies. Both have much sentimental value to me. Thanks!

Got this last week, so it'll be carried for a while, I think.
My bad, I thought this thread was "what traditional knife are you droppin' today"...

Barely owned this 72 hours and it slipped out of my hand onto the pavement! No real harm done, just a couple minor dings on the end. Still, gimme a week at least! :)
