Seeing the NKCA description of that gunboat canoe is cool, Stuart!:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thanks, Jack. IIRC, you have one of these, too, don't you?:cool::thumbsup:

My Euro Knife of the Week (and also my stag/horn knife for this week) is a Joker horn Barlow that my daughter bought for me in Spain:

My Big Knife of the Week (that could also have served as a Euro knife, or a non-SAK bailed knife) is a Mercator Black Cat:

Thanks my friend, a tiring day, but it was good to see the boys :) I do have one of those Gunboats GT, a generous gift from @scrteened porch :) A fab threesome there, but why do you call the Joker a Barlow? Hope your week is going well :)

Now, I feel un-evolved :D I am pleasantly surprised about how tough that charred finish is. The MAM gets rattled around with change, key chain and whatever else is in my pocket at least a couple times a week. Still makes me kind of chuckle to myself that it is probably my most inexpensive knife and my most carried.
I couldn't find the cargo pants and I don't own suspenders ... yet, so I just went with the Winchester whittler. :D

LOL! :D THat's a great-looking knife too my friend :)

I thought I'd carry a Lambsfoot ;)

Paired with my Radio Jack, one of my all-time favourite knives :)

JB - Thanks for carrying the Radio Jack today old bean.

Well, rain has stopped any outdoor work today, so I am looking to a few projects.

An apple a day, patina holds sway.

Regarding this #68 Pony Jack in ebony:

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.

Still carrying my Maroon Linen Micarta #15 Beer Scout sans bail and with a well earned patina on its shaving sharp blade, i think this may be the best "Traditional" i have ever owned, perhaps not the most attractive but its easy open notch and sheepsfoot blade makes opening it relatively easy for my arthritiky old hands and even the cap lifter /screwdriver blade gets some use.
If i could figure out how to download or is it upload ? Photographs here i would share pictures with you.

I'm getting ready to go down to the coast of North Carolina for my . . . th high school reunion this weekend, so I am gathering some knives to carry with me. This large congress whittler from the once re-incarnated Battle Axe brand (Hickey & Shouse) is going, as J.W. Hickey and Tommy Shouse were both from Winston-Salem, NC (though I understand that the knives were made by F. Olbertz, Solingen). Since that period of Battle Axe production was around 1975-1990, it started well after I graduated from high school. It's a bit showy, but isn't that what reunions are for.

The bolsters are not brass; the reflected light from the trees cast a brassy glow on the knife.
