That is sweet! The Pioneer Rancher is one of my favorite knives. You get the pruning blade, main blade, caplifter/screwdriver, and the far superior awl. I've been wanting a Pioneer Pruner, but they're not easy to find (not for cheap anyway).
Love the picture, donn. Nice looking knife, great scenic backdrop!
Well, care package from Sheffield dropped in today. I know it is Wooden Wednesday, but these two beauties promptly replaced the wood clad occupants of my pockets as soon as I laid hands on them. Just beautiful knives... I am finding that horn is a little more difficult to photograph, it is hard to really capture the depth and beauty of these covers.
Thank you again,Jack Black , these are absolutely superb.

Still the Dunlap stockman. But I did swap to my essential today in M4. Which, btw, will patina some. Onions left a little color on the blade.

Just finished this, so I am carrying it today since it will leave my possession soon.
Really nice color and grain in those handles. I love Macouns...they make great pies!

Thanks. It was overcast outside this morning so everything is a bit muted in the dull light, but it does hold up for it's age (circa 1919-1931).Gnarly bone...wow![]()
It deserves a showing in the "Let's see your Scout/Camp knives" thread. I just did a search for a vintage Winchester knives thread...did not find oneThanks. It was overcast outside this morning so everything is a bit muted in the dull light, but it does hold up for it's age (circa 1919-1931).
