I have an Old Imperial Barlow with some beautiful fax celluloid covers that I would trade you for that , but of course I might need a little extra cash from you to seal the deal my friend . It just so happens that I do like to get some really nice Stag now & then . Nice matching and nice transitions too .
Congrats Paul on landing a fine looking knife .

Harry

Outstanding is an understatement !!!

Thank you Gev and Harry. Harry, I hate for you to part with those vintage celluloid covers my friend:D I don't own many with STAG but this one and my #72 are favorites:)

Very elegant Gev

Super Duper Kevin ;)

These 2 Old Case XX USA today just to take pictures of them together . Both of them are from the 1965--1969 era , but they are different . One used to belong to a 94 year old WW II veteran and Farmer from Ripley County , Ind. and the other was gifted to me by the Legendary Campbellclanman Duncan . One was well loved and used a lot and the other was loved and is still like new . The brass liners on the well used are thicker than the other one . The well used one has the Main Clip Blade in front of the Pen Blade whereas the other one has the Pen in front of the Main Clip Blade and the Nail Nick is located forward of the tip of the Pen Blade . The Lesser used one is also what I call a Soup Bone version .
I Like Both of them very much . I drove 350 miles to an auction to bid on the well used one and the other one was sent to me from New Zealand by my friend and I never thought that I could EVER get one in that good of a condition .
BOTH are made of Unabtainium and Both now are Safe Queens .

Thanks again Duncan .
Harry

Two very special knives Harry, and huge generosity on the part of The Legend! :)
(I'm darn angry you don't have your Guardians yet my friend  :( )

Third day in a row for these two

Great picture. Look at all that unscratted bone!

Speaking of scratting, I'll be carrying a certain knife named Pearl for the rest of the week, before sending her off on her world wide adventure:

Thanks, Rachel. :) I'm not a huge fan of smooth bone handles, but I have a couple of Rough Riders with smooth white bone, and I have plans to get RR's "scrimshaw kit" and give it a try (but probably not until next summer).
Pearl the Porch Plenipotentiary is perfectly presented in your pics!!:cool::cool::thumbsup: Thanks for contributing your talent!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Carrying sunshine today. More sunshine scheduled to arrive tomorrow.

Looking forward to a new Yellow Rose model, Alan?:cool::thumbsup: (Yankees are bringing plenty of sunshine your way recently, too! ;))

These two today. Hopefully no one is getting tired of my Churchill, it is just a darn good knife, GEC did a good job on this one.

Boffo black/red duo, Dylan!:thumbsup::cool: I don't think I'll tire of seeing your ebony Churchill any time soon. In fact, for quite a while, one of my favorite models to see posted by someone was an ebony Northwoods Presidential, but I think the ebony Churchill has supplanted it!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thank you very much GT, I still have a fair way to go to catch up with you my friend ;) Three more good 'uns there :)

Your Ankermesser is such a no-nonsense knife, oldtymer!!:thumbsup::cool:

Something Portuguese for me today.

Thanks for the reply and the compliment, Stuart! :)

@bladeboss @Planterz and @Will Power got me thinking about the Case medium/large stockman. This 64047P, at 3 7/8" closed, is described as Case's large stockman (maybe it's the four blades). The spey is etched with an ominous "For Flesh Only". It is from the 1940-1964 period.

Another flabbergasting vintage folder, Stuart!!!:thumbsup::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: You must have quite the collection of classic traditional slipjoints!!:cool::cool::thumbsup:

What I am getting tired of is waiting for my Cougar Claw Churchill:rolleyes::mad: Customs has had it a week but according to tracking they've sent it back to America!!!:poop: This without notifying me or asking for the usual 25% import duty... Actually, I don't believe the tracking nonsense and think it bears no resemblance to what's going on.......but it's hideously annoying!!:(
I hope your Churchill comes into your possession soon, Will!:thumbsup: I can understand your frustration with the delays!:thumbsdown::mad:

Fine knives with fine stories, Harry. Barlows and Case Barlows, particularly for me, carry a special appeal. This Case 009 from 1974 is the first knife given to me by my stepfather who got me into knife collecting (I already liked knives, but only as tools). He thought the one-armed man blade was unique and loved explaining its utility. He's gone, but stays with me every time I hold the knife.
