Also an 83 for me today.
My 'car knife' A CASE Med Stockman in Amber Bone in the background awaiting sharpening.
Many thanks to a very kind man, Bob, for the great Bison pouch.

Nice specimen of Gec 83 Mr. "Will Power" I appreciate the stag's grain!!!

Thanks Gev, I'm fond of that Stag:D
Managed to resize it to more 'PC' dimensions in the subsequent post:thumbsup:

I have a sort of special knife with me today. This Royal Ambassador's Colonial scout knife is likely the first knife I ever owned. It was given to me by my dad when I was 6 or 7 years old.

Although I don't carry this knife very often, I'm carrying it today is because it's been exactly 10 years since my dad died in a motorcycle accident, so I figured it would be nice to have something in my pocket that reminded me of him.

Here is one of my favorite pictures of my dad:

This Polaroid is another favorite. I have it in a little frame hanging above the workbench where I sharpen my knives.

(That's me on the right. :D)

Barrett, just an awesome post. Love the knife and the sentiment it carries as well as the great pics of your Dad:cool:

The bear picture is FANTASTIC:cool::cool::cool:

Barrett, very nice post and it’s good that you still have that first knife to remind you of your dad and the good times you obviously shared.
(Great pic of your Dad on his HD!)
