What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Another great line-up

Popping stag Will! :)

These two for me today, my 2017 Guardians Lambsfoot and my Radio Jack :) Have a great weekend folks

Many thanks Jack  Despite being peaky and gnarled it's surprisingly thin panel stag, very fond of the knife.

Nice pix there, that chip butty makes the mouth water but I need to shed 4 or 5 kgs so I suppose a diet looms:( Plenty of nice sticky sap coming from that pine stump, get that on your knife blade and it's murder to remove:eek: wonderful smell though, like real turpentine.

Regards, Will

Today I've decided to go with CASE. Mini Copperhead in Rootbeer Bone

Thanks, Will

Cheers 5K. I do like what you and others do with Opinels. I keep meaning to pick up a couple and experiment.
Old Tom is brewed by Robinsons Brewery; a nice ale though they've watered it down over the years. It wasn't so much hair of the cat more like spooling myself up for a trawl around the pubs of Derby

I really love Old Tom & Old Ginger Tom too! You are doing nothing to help my month of abstenance!

I'll be keeping a better hold on my Lambsfoot today.

I'm not surprised my friend, it's a beauty :) Yeah, me too, in fact a bit more than that! Yes indeed, those pics were actually taken about 10 yards (and about 2 years) away from each other :)

Barrett, just an awesome post. Love the knife and the sentiment it carries as well as the great pics of your Dad:cool:

The bear picture is FANTASTIC:cool::cool::cool:

Thanks for sharing !
Is that Daytona Beach ?

Barrett, very nice post and it’s good that you still have that first knife to remind you of your dad and the good times you obviously shared.
(Great pic of your Dad on his HD!)

Thanks, guys!

@hamsco yes, it's Daytona Beach. He and a couple friends took a trip down for Bike Week one year.

Carrying this old Ulster barlow that showed up this week...

That bolster is killer!

So, everybody.....
The knife is fine (my stockman) except for one thing...
The spey blade hits the liner when its closed. Its causing scratches on the blade.
What would you guys do?
Fix it somehow, or not let it bug you?

Hey Boss, it looks like no one replied to you? I had that same situation on a beautiful Northwoods Jack, not only did it bug the daylights out of me, it actually nicked the D2 blade. What I did, and believe me this is for the brave of heart only, I took the cutting wheel of my Dremel and, CAREFULLY going between the liners, I ground down the inside of the back spring, just enough so that it didn't hit. You have to be so careful though, if you go too thin you run the risk of a broken spring. Mine came out perfect, between that and the sharpening i had to do to remove the nick, it has good clearance now.

I hope this helps!

Wow, I really like the look of your Midnight Special Ron
Thanks Jack! :) I really like it too! I didn’t realize how beautiful the grain in the Horn actually was. I took this picture in natural window light this morning and I was pleasantly surprised when I looked at the photos!:D They are a treasure my friend!
