That 93OT looks like a great combo.
Thanks, H&S. The clip/sheepfoot blade combo seems quite popular on The Porch lately.

Thanks for the compliment GT :D the whittler is a product of the Queen custom shop. One of fifty (I think) Tuna Valley humpback whittler in burnt stag, released in August. I made some test cuts with the reprofiled blades and it cuts deep and cleanly in pine with little effort, leaving a shiny cut surface. I'm so pleased with the results. I'm considering intalling grease nipples in my elbows for the next time I reshape 154CM blades by hand on a stone:eek:.
Michael
P.S. I really dig that red bone Remington Barlow you got thereo_O:thumbsup:
Thanks for the additional info on your phenomenal whittler, Michael. :) And thanks for the comment on my big Barlow. :)

Thanks for the compliment my friend, and for the info on the BSA Barlow :) These treasures there today, I love the big Barlow :)

Just this one for me today

Thanks, Jack. :) Your stag lambsfoot is top-notch!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I am just learning of Bob’s passing by catching up on this page. Heaven gained a shining angel but it certainly feels very dark and heavy here.
Stunning knives, Drew!:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: You're right that Bob's passing is sad news, but we all benefitted from the time he spent on The Porch, and that's going to be the long-term takeaway for me.

Thank you my friend. I have been lurking a lot more than I've been posting lately, and have been missing the porch.

Back to work, so fuller pockets ;) Received a new 66 Stockman, and today is it's maiden voyage out in the world. First slipjoint purchase since my new knife sabbatical, but I couldn't resist it.

Lovely photograph of sweet knife, Dschal!:cool::thumbsup:

Carrying this Schrade Heritage Barlow the last few days. Very solid build, had a decent edge when I got it all I did was give it a ride on my razor strap.
It is marked a second but I can't find why.

View attachment 793899 Carrying and using an old favorite today~ Schrade 293Y Trapper. I bought this new back in the 70s, and carried it every day for a couple of decades. Loved it so much that I bought a second that still lives in it’s tube.
Heart-warming story of dedication to a good knife!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

It's nice to have a spare, isn't it? :)

I'm still carrying Bob's Russell Jack, plus an Ettrick in buffalo horn.

Sorry for my mistake and thanks for correcting it!:)

Hey, no worries my friend, I appreciate the compliment :) If you've not already had a look, check out the Lambsfoot thread

Sure, drop by the Lambsfoot thread and check it out. It's good to see another Melburnian here - that is, if you're the same @Falling_rain from Australian Blade Forums. I post there as 5ycamore, haven't been posting too much lately, though.

Wow Gary how big are your pockets? That is quite the load of gear.
Loving that electrican knife. Are those Bakelite scales?

"Is that fork larger than normal?" I thought so, too. Maybe the photo angle, but it seems much larger than the knife. I do like a serving tray that measures your main course. I had one like that, but the gradations were former cut marks on the edges - a bit confusing and a challenge to bigger cuts of meat. That steak looks EXCELLENT, @Signalprick !

Measure your main course?

They always told me just to not eat more than I can lift.
