Thanks, H&S. The clip/sheepfoot blade combo seems quite popular on The Porch lately. That 93OT looks like a great combo.
Thanks for the additional info on your phenomenal whittler, Michael. Thanks for the compliment GTthe whittler is a product of the Queen custom shop. One of fifty (I think) Tuna Valley humpback whittler in burnt stag, released in August. I made some test cuts with the reprofiled blades and it cuts deep and cleanly in pine with little effort, leaving a shiny cut surface. I'm so pleased with the results. I'm considering intalling grease nipples in my elbows for the next time I reshape 154CM blades by hand on a stone
.

P.S. I really dig that red bone Remington Barlow you got there![]()

I am just learning of Bob’s passing by catching up on this page. Heaven gained a shining angel but it certainly feels very dark and heavy here.
That OD 66 is a looker, Mike! Congrats!Thank you my friend. I have been lurking a lot more than I've been posting lately, and have been missing the porch.
Back to work, so fuller pocketsReceived a new 66 Stockman, and today is it's maiden voyage out in the world. First slipjoint purchase since my new knife sabbatical, but I couldn't resist it.

Big league Barlow, oldtymer!Carrying this Schrade Heritage Barlow the last few days. Very solid build, had a decent edge when I got it all I did was give it a ride on my razor strap.
It is marked a second but I can't find why.

Outstanding stag Forum knife, P&G!!
Dee, that's a captivating pic, and I REALLY admire that drop point blade on your WLST!!
Heart-warming story of dedication to a good knife!View attachment 793899 Carrying and using an old favorite today~ Schrade 293Y Trapper. I bought this new back in the 70s, and carried it every day for a couple of decades. Loved it so much that I bought a second that still lives in it’s tube.
Special, sentimental pair, r8shell!!It's nice to have a spare, isn't it?
I'm still carrying Bob's Russell Jack, plus an Ettrick in buffalo horn.

"Is that fork larger than normal?" I thought so, too. Maybe the photo angle, but it seems much larger than the knife. I do like a serving tray that measures your main course. I had one like that, but the gradations were former cut marks on the edges - a bit confusing and a challenge to bigger cuts of meat. That steak looks EXCELLENT, @Signalprick !

Great autumnal picture.Lots of great knives the past few days, folks.
Carrying this one yet again.
