What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Carrying my Bruce Culberson Necker to test out a custom made blade cover by James of AZ Slipcraft (I follow him on instagram).

He makes them by measurement and picture, which considering how well it fits is incredible. Also, he made it and got it to me in less than 5 days after getting the measurements, and that's including shipping. It was pretty tight and tough to sheath at first, but now that it's brokensome it is easy to sheath and unsheath.

I'll make a full thread about it after I've carried it a week.

Hey, no worries my friend, I appreciate the compliment :) If you've not already had a look, check out the Lambsfoot thread

Sure, drop by the Lambsfoot thread and check it out. It's good to see another Melburnian here - that is, if you're the same F Falling_rain from Australian Blade Forums. I post there as 5ycamore, haven't been posting too much lately, though.

Thanks guys! Sure will check the Lambsfoot thread! Real classic!

Yeah I'm the Falling_rain from Australian BF. I started collecting traditional knives not too long ago, I post on both forums but certainly I learn more and see more here!

Came home from deer hunting to vote yesterday (big election in Virginia or so they say) and am packing up to go back out. With the wet weather, I'll be looking for rain deer. I've got a couple blades to add to the collection at camp and in the truck: Kershaw Diskin Hunter (14C28N steel) and a Gerber Gator (154CM).

See y'all over the weekend.

You guys are making me want a stockman.
I had a schrade 34OT I got as a kid, but it was lemon so I took it apart and modified it.
I'll have to find something with a sheep's foot that's not crinked too much and doesn't sit uncomfortably high like my 34OT did.

Check out fightin roosters. Mine sits nice and low. Go back about a week and there’s a pic of it in this thread. It’s small enough to be comfy to carry yet still be useful.

What you desire my friend is the venerable Buck 303. Low lying sheeps with no crink because it’s has 3 backsprings but is still very slim. The knife is also all but indestructible with a lifetime warranty. Thank me later

That's probably it, I'd prefer to find something in carbon steel but could probably settle for stainless if this want for a stockman lasts.
