What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Today, 6th December is a National Holiday here in Finland as it's Independence Day. This year 2017 is special as it marks 100 years of being an independent Republic.

So today, it seems appropriate to carry a small puukko and here is an honour awarded to me by the President of the Republic, Sauli Niinistö

May it be a wondrous day Will !! A fine choice indeed ! Loved the picture of the hare :D

Switching things up considerably today and carrying two knives that I've neglected for too long. Whilst sharpening these two last night in preparation for today's carry, I noticed that the Palles has suffered from that, oh so ominous, malady know as "Blade Rap". Which is exceedingly unfortunate since the walk and talk on this knife is such a delight. Ah well, I will just need to be careful until I've used it enough and sharpened it enough for it not to matter. Still a wonderful knife regardless.

Some great pics today! Awesome pic Gevo! Love the old "cat's eye" marbles and the handles on your carry are just gorgeous.

Dreaming of Trout season and carrying my Cramer LC Jr. today. Included the Primos hand forged B&T just for kicks.

Beautiful, Gev, knife and photo!

Thank you kind words Gentlemen !! Gary...two fine carries indeed. May more memories await you in the water flowing over the rocks from the basement of time. And under those rocks...all things merge into one.
