My first stainless GEC. I really wish they offered more stainless options. But I'm digging the sheepsfoot blade on this one.

Not only are these two doctors, they are cousins, too. The larger (3 3/4" closed) is a CHIPAWAY CUTLERY CO. doctors knife. ChipAway was a trademark used by E.C. Simmons from 1891-1920. The other is an E.C. SIMMONS ST. LOUIS marked doctors knife (3 1/4" closed) that is also marked KEEN KUTTER on the bottom bolster. That trademark used from 1868-1960. They leave plenty of room in my pockets compared to the Hobo and the Coke bottle hunter that I carried yesterday

The swedges are pretty cool on these blades, so I tried to get a better picture of them.

Those two are amazing! I don't know what those end cap type bolsters are called, but I sure like 'em!

Thanks, r8shell. Those flat end caps are the "pill crushers" that give the doctors (or physicians) knife its name, as does the spatula blade on the small Keen Kutter. I don't know the knife maker's technical name for them, though. Some doctors knives just have a flat end without the cap/bolster.
