Still solid and sharpOh, the old Hammer’s been round the block a few times, and she’s ready for more.
She’s a beaut!
Both very nice but the grain on your #78 is AMAZINGJust got these two in today, and they will certainly be in pocket all day tomorrow. I'm jumping the gun but I'm very excited about the #78!

Commitment is cool,
Dandy, dramatic duo, Jake @JITDC !Boring pic but this is my New Years Day carry. View attachment 822146
Enchanting, @315 !Since I was taking a tree down today, the Christmas tree to be specific, I thought the Lumberjack would be appropriate.![]()
First-rate analysis, Leslie; I'll try to remember to use the canoe to cut an apple for breakfast Wednesday.GT, I suppose it is possible that the paint will wear out, but because of the process they used in the 70’s, the engraving will always be there. I plan to use my Canoe as well. The blades sure look like stainless, but they are not marked at all as to metal type. I read that in those days carbon blades were not indicated. So, unless it says stainless, you know that it is carbon. I guess we have carbon blades.
Great! Thanks for the confirmation, Mike!Yes sir. A Charlie C. SFO. Radio Jack.
Thanks for the compliment. I have to agree that these came out lovely, and have some of my favorite jigging from GEC.

Thanks, Ron! Finding the background at a craft store is cool, but I was enjoying an image of you staying up late on New Year's Eve piecing wood blocks together into a pleasing pattern!Thank you Gary and a Happy 2018 to you my friend!Mrs. Claus found that dandy background on clearance at the craft store.
I’m sure you’re going to see more of it in 2018!

Handsome hiking knife, Jack, and impressive (and jocular) acronym!
Keen sharpening story and kickin' dangler, r8shell!It was both productive and frustrating, as such things often are. I can confidently put a toothy, working edge on a knife. I'm trying to learn the next step of polished, refined edges. Results are mixed.
Since I'm bumming around the house today, I'm sticking with my MJ fixed blade today, in the pocket in a homemade dangler sheath:

That's a laudable color match, Ace!!Here's how it came out. ...
By the way, I've had it in my pocket all day, so it definitely fits in this thread.

Thanks for the explanation,Haha. Well, since they got new ones for Christmas, and the old ones slept outside for years, where flooded in 2016, they where shot. So I cut em up to fit in the garbage can.
Notable pair there, @Grateful !
Oui-Oui on the Douk-Douk,
There you see it: spontanous love doesn´t last. Only one day made me change my favouriteBut someday I will return to my Schrade.
It´s a wonderfull 85 that you carry, this would be one for me, too
You have the rojo mojo, Leslie!!
Quite reasonable conjecture, Senhor Pinto!I do not know why, but it must be in order of the advertised signatures!!!
Pleasant Barlows, Will!Change of direction today. RR locking Mini Barlow in Armour Hide Bone. Very tight construction here, NO blade play in any direction, impressive.

That 23 Jack looks like quite a handful, Jeff! The 23 Jack did it’s job on the stir fry veggies, and the Utica tl29 supervised.

Looks tasty, Stuart!... I dipped my blade in, so to speak, during a recent waterfowl hunting venture where we prepared a beef stew in a cast iron oven over a grill. ...
