Rope/navy knife??? Not sure. Any info from Kabar knowledgable porch goers would be most welcome.
I do know it’s a great knife in the hand.

EDIT: found two different photos of this knife online, and both called it a New England Whaler.

2nd EDIT: as cutfinger pointed out, this is not one of those funny looking lambsfoot blades ;)

I'll probably watch at least the first half of Super Bowl LII this evening. Here's the pre-game meal I made myself after I finished shoveling snow this afternoon. When I'm not carrying that rosewood lambsfoot, it has an honored place on the kitchen counter for food prep. (The photo is actually old, but I used the knife to make my salad today, and the salad was essentially identical to the one in the photo, but without chunks of ham.)

Thank you :) That's pretty cool, I was gifted the Smith some years ago by a generous friend here, told me he was sending me a beat-up old Barlow :D :thumbsup:
