I just got a 2017 red bone BSA 6208 yesterday, and it's a great knife. This one landed today, I'm quite pleased, I wanted something a little larger than a peanut but not by much and I love the contours of the handle. Both blades arrived with a sharp toothy edge, Case model 6208, this one has a tang stamp date of 2017 so relatively new. And I sharpened her up tonight both blades took an exceptional edge, again, quite pleased

Thanks Jack! I think it may just be the angle of that photo, but GT has me curious so I am going to measure it lol. Great pics, I would love to read your write up on these knives.
Carrying the Joker again today.

Adore the radiant red sawcut, Harry!
Can't have too much of a good thing!I hear tell there might be some more 77 Barlow’s in the future! That won’t make me mad!

How's your daughter liking the snow, Barrett? When our kid was little, I was the designated "snow parent" and "swimming parent", even though neither winter activities nor swimming were favorite leisure pastimes for me. But our daughter had her own tiny shovel and loved to "help" me clear driveway and sidewalks, and now she still sometimes helps me with snow removal. Thanks, GT! I can't lie, I won't miss the phrase "It's a dry heat." Sure, there's some truth to it, but it doesn't make you feel any better on those 115°+ summer days. Dry or not, that's just hot!! As for Minnesota phrases, I figure I'll just rewatch Fargo a couple times to familiarize myself with the local dialect, dontcha know?
I like that Joker, the olive wood looks great! The patina signature is a nice touch, too.![]()

Thanks for the data, Stuart. I sometimes think I should pick up a folding hunter to represent the pattern, but they're so big that I can't imagine carrying one, even occasionally. Thanks for the Cadet comment; red Alox is very pleasing to the eyes (and soul) IMHO!Thanks, GT. The knife is 5 3/8" closed, the clip is 4 1/4", the long spear is 3 1/8". Love that red Cadet!!

Thanks, Dylan....
Thank you, GT! Only the very best. You have a terrific working man's trio today!
I started the day with these two today. But then the 56 came in and it replaced the 78 for the remainder of the day.

Yeah, that Dixie definitely deserves your devotion, Ron!...
Thanks Gary!I can definitely recommend the 82 Dixie as a terrific all around Stockman. Three excellent blade choices.
That Boker Electrician knife is a dandy.
I have one of those with smooth Delrin in one of my rolls. I bought it in the 70’s. American and German Bokers were quite common here back then.

Just like we all thought ELEMENO was the letter between k and p.
Nice story on aquiring that handsome knife.
Thanks, Jeff!...

Dschal, you post many attractive outdoor pics of your knives, but it's the photos with baked goods that I enjoy the most!Baking during the storm.

Many thanks Mr. GT, it is indeed a fabulous knife and will become my daily companion!!!
I'd have a hard time deciding what 4 (or 6 or 8) tools to include on a "dream" custom SAK! Can't argue with any of your choices, Ted!Today is my pseudo psyentist, (the Ps are psylent) a gift from Jack (yablanowitz) This seems to tick all the right boxes for daily indoor chores and because of the magnifyin' glass it's become a favorite flea market, yard sale knife, great for readin' tang stamps.

Love it!!Mixing it up today, with something a little older, not too fancy. 60 year old M.O.T.S. is holding up well.

My Churchill has become my "go to" knife. Slim, useful, and fun to look at in the light.
That's a looker, JB!!View attachment 844680 Carrying the ancient ebony today. One of my favorite TCs.
"A little sunshine" seems like an understatement!Needed a little sunshine in my pocket today. Hope it's a good one for all!

What a fascinating, specialized knife!!The Remington (a 1980's re-issue, but not a Bullet replica) that I'm carrying today is a handy item for those of us who are bird hunters, waterfowl or upland. It is an R-2 Waterfowl knife and can handle most any shotgun hunting chores: a Turkish clip blade for gutting/skinning, a serrated sheepfoot blade for cutting wing/leg joints, a choke tube tool (12 and 20 gauges), and a punch for pushing out/in receiver pins. At 4.25" closed, it needs a sturdy pocket, of which my hunting coats have several.

Thanks for the Joker comments, especially concerning my "mustard monogram".Now that I know that the techniques works, I need to get an applicator with a finer point and try some "art projects" on carbon steel blades.

Thanks, Dylan. You have a threesome to cherish, too! Trading in a smooth bone single bladed 78 for a 2-bladed jigged bone 56 is a trade I'd make in a heartbeat!
Yeah, that Dixie definitely deserves your devotion, Ron!
WW!! That venerable knife looks enormous, Jeff!
Thanks, Jeff!I do have a "thang" for work knives.
Thanks, Steve.Splendid classic stockman you've posted!

I just got a 2017 red bone BSA 6208 yesterday, and it's a great knife.
If I was going to buy one for myself I'd probably go with something like yours and in CV, but it really can't complain about it.
Btw how's the pull on your pen blade ?
Mine Is just a tiny bit hard for it's size.
If there was a 1-10 for small secondary blades, without anything but a Vic pocket pal to compare it to I'd put it at probably an 8 when it could stand to be a 7 - 7½.
I enjoyed reading your comments about American football, donn; thanks.I found Mr. Timberlake no more tolerable at 8:15pm
, although my daughter was singing along happily with most of his songs.
I was inspired by a pic of Jack Black's Joker to purchase my Joker when I visited Spain. It wasn't until quite a bit later that I realized my model is substantially larger at 4.5" closed. How long is the model you and Jack have?
Must be hard to keep that Vic down on the Farm after the incredible vistas it has experienced traveling the countryside with you!

How do you find that one Mr Finn, I have thought of picking one up several times?![]()
Sorry for the late reply 5K, I was on a pub crawl yesterday celebrating a mates birthday.
Yeah, I can't imagine Justin Timberlake being tolerable at any time really. I hope your daughter liked the game as much as the half-time entertainment
So that Joker is bigger. I can't speak for the Joker Jack has but this is mine:
