What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Got my small Case whittler laser engraved last night where I work, one of the very few perks ;) but, it is nice to have a friend in the machine shop from time to time!
Celtic cross put into the bolster, small about 1/4" square but still pretty detailed.

And did I mention this knife is sharp? still amazed at the edge this one now carries.

Wow, that's really nice Gary. I'd probably go crazy if I had access to something like that.

Haha yes the guy wanted to put stuff all over but I didn’t want it too cluttered up, so just the one
Nice thing about that one is it looks upright open or closed:)

I'm usually not carrying two knives, unless one is a belt knife, but I'm teaching a Hunter Ed class today. Sometimes things happen where you need something that will do more than cut...

My carry picks today are similar in thought as yesterday's. Another stockman for any real work, a Case 5347 (in stag for Stagurday) from the 1940-1964 era; and a "fancy" knife for a party we are attending tonight, a Saturday Night Special by Parker Cutlery Co. (Eagle brand) in MOP and abalone from 1978-1991. The spey blade on the Case has the ominous etch "FLESH ONLY". Yikes!

Stuart, your 5347 is a superb example!:cool: The Case 47 frame in any of it’s various configurations is my personal favorite from Case! :D

Thanks, Ron. I posted a 6347HP from 1978 yesterday (post# 11080), as I was carrying it for real work along with a "pretty" knife. It seems that @5K Qs appreciates stockmen, too, so I've posted a few up for those of us who like them. There have been some fine ones posted recently by @george65 , @SVTFreak , Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund , and @black mamba .

Stuart, I’ve often wondered about that etch on spey blades.
Is it ground thinner (thus more fragile), or was it to remind users to use other blades for rough stuff to ensure the spey is scalpel sharp for it’s intended purpose?
