What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This guy hanging out with me today. Feeling much better. Cut up some boxes to fit in the garbage cause I got too much to do to go burn them (which is a lot more fun lol). I passed it a couple times over the sharp maker and it wipes the hair off easily. Quite keen!

Thanks Barrett :) Despite loving pancakes, I only really eat them once a year, and I had decided to treat myself to a day of pancakes and beer! :) My plans were disrupted by a request from a couple of friends to look after their three kids. This proved to be a rather trying experience, and their dad was half an hour late coming back, right past lunchtime. I had offered to take us all out for pancakes after, and while that had been agreed, the youngest decided, at the last minute, that he didn't want pancakes! And it seems he gets what he wants  So, I ended up in a different place to where I had planned to go, ravenously hungry, the pancakes were second rate, but I barely tasted them anyway. Rather than maple syrup, (which used to be expensive here, but isn't anymore), they came with golden syrup (from sugar-cane), which is cheaper, sweeter, thicker, and stickier. So I gave my Lambsfoot a good scrub when I got home!

Nice-looking Bull Nose my friend

Double ebony for me today  Black to match my black heart! :D

Sounds like the kind of day after which you’d need a beer, Jack. Sorry you didn’t get the good pancakes you were hoping for, particularly since you only have ‘em once a year!

My wife and I have been introduced to a few British TV shows by my brother and sister-in-law in Bath, which we’re able to watch online here in the States. One of them (my wife’s favorite) is The Great British Bake Off, during which they often run often ads for Lyle’s Golden Syrup. It seems like stickiness is one of their main selling points! :D I actually saw it in a store here just the other day, and took a photo to send to my brother.

I think I‘ll stick with maple syrup for my pancakes. ;) Nice pair of ebony knives you’ve got there.

Remington and Robeson today

Stopped by the lake today to get a few pics of The Car On The Lake For 2018

Harry

Lovely, warm bone on both of those knives, Harry!

I always enjoy your yearly photos of The Car on the Lake. A similar guess-when-the-car-will-fall-through-the-ice contest is used as a plot device in Neil Gaiman's novel American Gods. (Gaiman is British, but has lived in Wisconsin since the '90s.)

Congrats on promoting your Bull Nose to a user, Barrett!:cool::thumbsup:
So you're finding they use more road salt in MN than in AZ??:D

Just a bit more. :D

Carrying the NCM Bull Nose again today.

@5K Qs Okay GT, I know you love dogs in photographs, you said you like my pond, and we all know you are crazy about Canoe Knives, so this one is for you! And congratulations for finding the correct thread!

SVTFreak SVTFreak , Glad you are feeling better. The way our weather has been changing from day to day, it’s a wonder the entire state is not ill. Nice knife BTW.

@Jack Black Jack, you should have loaded that kid up with cane syrup and then sent him packing with his Dad.

Really nice 73, Ron

It's been way to long since I carried the Ancient. Have cardboard cutting duties today so it may come into play:thumbsup:

Had a hard time flipping the mag release, but finally a fully lefty glock. Night sites are a bonus. Trapper is my design, both handed with nicks on opposite sides.

Love this secondary, going to be great for whittling / pull cuts.

John, that Dunlap is so, so special, from the ivory to the blade selection . . . tip top!

And Josh, that Case looks great on you! :D
