I agree with you on the hood ornaments . I wonder what year they went from being a Temperature Gage to a Hood Ornament . Some of them are fabulous .I was almost more smitten with the hood ornaments than the cars, but I wonder how fast that 16-cylinder Cadillac could go.
Beautful animals and rearing to go@Peregrin those a three beauties, Gary (and a very belated welcome to the ACC).
Gevonovich Thanks for the support. We're "shooting" for next weekend, Here's a pic or 2 to tide you over.

I like that Mini Copperhead, Gary. Had my eye on one of these for awhile. Case does that blue bone really well and I especially like the way it sets off the red shield. Well done!![]()
Thanks, Ratbert & Stuart.So many great knives and inviting pictured locales, I fear I can't cover them all.
5K Qs That brilliant blue Case is a blissful beauty. I'm enthralled.

I've seen that knife on the right several times, Joshua, and I'm still not sure what (if anything) is depicted on the handles - mysterious and intriguing!
The porter (?) and pork pie would give me quite a thrill, donn!...
Nothing exciting for yesterday; just my SAK Waiter.

Congrats on the posting milestone, Stuart, and thanks for making such a high percentage of them (including this one) interesting and informative!!He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword;
His truth is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!

To mark my 1,000th post, I thought that I'd post 13 3/8" of righteousness. More practically, I'm pocketing the slender (13/32") 4-blade Kissing Crane whittler, second from the bottom. As to the grapes of wrath, I pray for a crop failure.

My Stag 56 today.

That's a revered old Hoffritz, rishma!!
As usual, you've posted a pair of winners, Tom!
Many thanks, Jack. I did not start posting in earnest until this past August and I easily realize that, by the standards set by stalwarts of this thread, I am a piker, if not a pissant. However, if I show up every day, apply myself and do an honest day's work that Porch pension will start piling up and, then, begin pouring out.
" 'O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy."
- Stuart
(There is a pension, right?)
High class knife, Dean, as I've come to expect from you!!
Fantastic stag pair, Harry!
Splendid knife, Gev!My intention was birds since it's the season ..so the long lens it was. And of course a cattle knife. A Curtain & Clark in ebony, since the weather was wet and overcast...perfect

Thanks Gary and a nice red trio, your pretty much prepared for anything you encounter this weekThese 14-hour workdays on Monday are not really designed for geezers like me!But I'll try to partially catch up with this thread before I head for bed! Fun Times!

As usual, you've posted a pair of winners, Tom!A bit rare that they're both folders, though, isn't it?
I recently praised you over your interesting/informative posts, but I wonder how many of your 1000 posts have been completely delusional??!?
High class knife, Dean, as I've come to expect from you!!
Fantastic stag pair, Harry!That Heckles is one of my favorites.
I've never been to the Gilmore Museum, even though it's not far from where I've lived for the past 35 years, and is even closer to where I grew up. I took swimming lessons at Pine Lake, not far from Hickory Corners. And I've been to antique tractor shows in Hickory Corners with my Grandpa T back in the 50s and/or 60s.
Splendid knife, Gev!And thanks for the sensational photos!
Alox this week is a Vic Secretary (thanks, Ken):

Non-SAK bailed knife this week is a Colonial scout. I have no recollection of where/how I got it, but I've had it for at least 30 years, I'll bet.

Non-Alox SAK this week is a Vic Huntsman:
