Finally found one of these and at a price I could afford. What a great blade shape combination that sit so we'll in a long but slim frame. Carried and out good edges on it today.

Sharpened cleaned and oiled my grandpa's true every day carry Victorinox today at his birthday gathering.

Thanks Harry, you got a nice Lick Creek yourself:thumbsup: and enabler? hmmm, I may have purchased one or several Stag knives do to your influence:D

Really an awesome photo mykel !!!...and I love how that stag looks and has aged/smoothed out after use....would love to see the original photo of the knife (as new) as a comparison.
Thanks DoublOhSeven.
When I first got it I sanded down some high spots and applied a very light coating of brown leather dye to darken up the white spots left by the sanding and that turned into the mellow yellow it is now.(the mark side is very pithy so the dye really soaked in)
Here it is right after the sanding and dyeing, without the 3+ years of pocket time.

Happy Birthday to your grandpa L.H.S..
I carried a Vic Champ for 10 or 11 years when I was a mechanic in the MC.
Thanks for reminding me I need to clean and oil mine up.

I had the 78 Mrknife gifted me in my pocket today an all I can say is what a great knife.

Mike and Randy, those are a couple of alluring spearpoint blades you've displayed!:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

These are in my pockets today .

Harry
That duo matches extremely well, Harry!:cool::thumbsup: My favorite of the couple is the one with the checkered bone. ;):thumbsup:

Even though it's bulkier than I usually carry, I'm really enjoying my new (to me) camp knife. Some of my favorite knives are ones that I had to put a little work into. :) I still like a wee knife for detail work, so I paired it with a #09 Esquire today for Wooden Wednesday.

Tomorrow, will be an all Camillus day.

Matchmaker, Matchmaker, make me a match! ;):D I like the pairings you'e dreaming up for your new Camillus camp knife, r8shell, and am impressed that you're planning ahead!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

... (I'm interested in taking up ice fishing now that we live here in MN, but the southerner in me is still a bit hesitant about driving on a lake, even in the dead of winter.)
...
Still carrying my Natural Canvas Micarta Bull Nose (which I might have to start shortening to NCMBN).

I wonder if you have to talk to your auto insurance agent about your fishing plans, Barrett! :D Sweet Bull Nose!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

That's a svelte number right there, lambertiana!:thumbsup::cool:

I like the looks of that light-colored knife next to your flashlight, deltaboy!:thumbsup::thumbsup: What knife is that?

...
Your wonderful pic of that jigging inspired me to carry my BB Stockman too, thanks.

Gracious me!:cool::cool: That Black Box stockman is totally awesome, FBC!!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Superb color and jigging, round bolsters, low-rider sheepfoot!:cool: Sunk joints, I think? How big is that?

Changed it up and carried this one today:
Mini copperheads are winners, Vaporstang, and yours proves that point!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Many thanks Mr. GT, yes I have a favorite in my # 83, has hands on stag and clip blade.
I particularly appreciate the texture of one part of the hands!!!

Thanks for sharing your favorite 83, Senhor Pinto!! I can see why you like it so much! :):thumbsup:

I don't mind the dentist, but he didn't turn up! Wimp! :D ;)

I strongly suspect that is not a historic Japanese pattern GT ;) It's produced by some fantasy blades company, made in China, blade steel's supposed to be 1065. There's a bamboo scaled version too - with a dragon! Fit and finish can be poor apparently

Great-looking Soldier my friend

I was up early to go to my local flea-market, but the snow we've had caused it to be cancelled, for the first time anyone can remember :( Plenty of stuff to do in the house anyway  I have these two on me

I now pay financial penalties if I don't show at doctors, dentists, etc. Did you get cash when your DDS missed your appointment?
Thanks for the info about that Shadow Cutlery friction folder "pen knife". I like the unique looks of the knife, but it sounds like I'd be disappointed in it. Thanks for saluting my Vic Soldier.
Nice traveling pair, Jack, even if the market visit fell through!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Yes, it's new to me. It spent last weekend soaking in oil to get all the rust and gunk off the backsprings, and now the blades open smoothly. Delrin covered, probably mid 1960s to late 70s, and I'm pretty sure it had a bail originally.

Here, posing as a "cattle knife" :D

Thanks for some background info, r8shell; cool pic! :):cool:

Outstanding pic of your 25, Travman!!:cool::cool::thumbsup: I really like the WLSTs with the stamped bolster.

If your knives are as sharp as the focus on your pics, Alan, you're a knife wizard!! ;):thumbsup:

Only a slight drizzle so far today, but winds are supposed to be 40-50 mph be late afternoon, so I'm carrying two that are ready for anything. A Queen cattle knife from 1922-1932 and a much more recent Jarrett Fleming.

I know nothing about fixed blades, Stuart, but that cattle knife is the stuff that dreams are made of!:thumbsup::cool:

Changing it up today. Swapped out the F&FNCMBN for this WLST. :D

Sublime 25, Barrett!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Since your move to Minnesota, you seem to have become fond of alphabet soup; must be the colder climate! ;)

The weather hasn’t gotten here yet, so I took a hike while it was still nice.

Superb photo, Dschal; the colors of the knife and of the background rocks and mosses are amazingly matched!:cool::thumbsup:

Work day in the garage today so these had to be in the pockets . Had to use old pics.
Lambfoot and Sheepsfoot

...
I guess this made it a Two Tew's Thursday today .
Harry
Your horn TEWs are superlative, Harry, and you have lots of fabulous stag, but these "humble" bone "twins" just might be my favorites of your knives! ;):thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Great photo of an unforgettable knife, mykel!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
