This #78 with me today for T~Bone Tuesday...
picture in style of @paulhilborn

Well done,
@007hunter !

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!
Beautiful horn barlows,
Harry. I've been totin' the moose for a few days, and I'm itching to mod one of the blades into a sheepfoot, but I can't decide which one. I've got plenty of knives with clip and sheepfoot, so I'm leaning towards modding the clip into a sheepfoot to have something different.
Since I recently asked you about spear/sheep combos, especially on opposite ends of the knife, I guess you know I REALLY like the way you're leaning, Jeff!

This one has a dedicated pocket slip and gets spoiled. It did do some honest box break down earlier though!
That's a shooting star, Drew!!

A picture is worth 1000 words, but I'd sure appreciate some words to accompany that beauty, r8shell!

Is that scout knife new-to-you? Bone or synthetic? Did it ever have a bail, do you think? About how old is it?
FBC, your "Winnie Black Wood" started out sensational and looks better with every photo!

I have one of those. Nice knife and the spear blade is a pleasant change from most of my other knives. The main on mine is really stiff. (My biggest complaint with RR is variation in pull from knife to knife, even in identical knives.) The pen and coping blades are so thin they make great slicers.
I like that knife, a whittler with spear main, so much I have TWO now!

...
Snowing here, and I'm
off to the dentist, got these two on me

"I simply remember my favorite things, and then I don't feel so bad!"

Love that no-nonsense, black/orange pair, Jack!

Today GEC #83 in Ebony Wood...
Splendid wood on that little lockback, Senhor Pinto!

Do you have a favorite GEC 83 among those you own?
Good stuff GT. Good to see the RRs so well represented amongst a range of truly beautiful knives. It's great to be able to lay hands on such a range of knives without breaking the bank. Can only be a good thing for the continuation of traditional folders.
Thanks for the support,
@Blake the Blade!

I appreciate that you're a man who appreciates Rough Riders!

Welcome! Good to see you posting after all these years.
Non paying members have to use an image hosting site. That might sound complicated but the one in this link is about as simple as they get. It's free and you don't even have to create an account to use it.

Kudos for your kindness and helpfulness,
@Railsplitter !!

Thank you for the kind words, Gary. That RR Trapper of yours is not too shabby either! Wonderful jigged bone with great color!
Thanks for noticing, Ratbert!

My first Rough Riders were a set of 12 patterns, all in amber jigged bone; I've been a huge fan of those covers ever since!

Thanks Gary! The Presidential is very classy knife and the Red Jigged Bone shows just how skilled the cutlers at Great Eastern are.

I always enjoy seeing that beautiful Horn on your Joker. Just imagine how Horn like that would look on a Lambsfoot.

Your RR Half Whittler has sparked my interest. It appears to be a single spring design. I am going on line to check the specs on RR531.
Thanks, Ron.

The half-whittler is indeed a single spring, and was one of the knives that made 2017 the year I discovered that I have a real preference for single spring pen knife configurations.

Lovely horn on that Joker, GT!
...
Carrying these two today, they match quite nicely.
Wonderful wood couple, Dylan; I find Rosie especially riveting, as always!!

Ron and Dylan, thanks for the comments on the Joker horn.

One of the many "knife inconsistencies" I've found in myself is that I find the blond horn quite appealing, but white smooth bone, oiled white bone, etc. do almost nothing for me.

I'm still not convinced that's a traditional knife, James!

But that sure is a memorable photo!

The rain is back!

Forecast is for almost 4” total through tomorrow!

I have these two Osage Tidioutes out for today’s carry.

Each knife is amazing, Ron, and the pair is simply astounding!!

Stay dry; are you on high ground?? Our Thursday forecast is rain changing to snow, accumulating from less than .5" to 8" - how's that for precision??

Tranquility take me away

This was a peaceful spot last weekend
That's almost literally a Sea of Tranquility, Gev!

Thanks 5K. The shrine is visited often and by many. Faux or not those tortoise shell covers have great colouring to them

Thanks for the tortoise shell props,
@donn .

I'm really enjoying your recent "meat pie series" of photos!

Thanks GT, the Capucin is a bit large for regular carry, so I can't see me pocketing it much. I prefer the Svord Peasant, even though the Capucin is a nicer-looking knife.

Always a treat to see your gorgeous Joker
Thanks for the Joker plaudits, Jack, and thanks for the friction folder festival!

Do you know anything about this "Japanese" friction folder from Shadow Cutlery?

Mercy me!

What a stunning knife and sheath,
@Redbeardo !!

Found a cool headstone in a little country cemetary.
Boker tree brand radio electrician, and my old Sabre fishing knife which was a gift from Grandpa back when he was teaching me to fish. I think it’s my oldest knife since I don’t know what happened to my old Cub Scout knife.
Too early for fishing-water’s way too high and muddy. But the northerns will be moving soon.

Cool headstone, indeed, Jeff!

And the knives redline my nostalgia meter. One of my favorite knives is an Imperial clip/pen toothpick just like I remember my Grandpa carrying with color identical to your Sabre:
I would pick these two for Wooden Wednesday, wouldn't I. The Buck on my belt and the Cannady in my pocket (the sheath fits fine), and off I go.

Splendid Wednesday selections, Stuart!
