We should have a poll: is your knife simply elegant, or elegantly simple? ;):cool::thumbsup:

Thanks, can I vote for both? ;) That Sowbelly of yours has some nice curves. Does it have a Turkish style clip main ?

Tough day. Lost my old Boston Terrier today. :(
Pretty sure it was congestive heart failure. I spent the day with him sitting on the kitchen floor by his doggie bed.

Now my other guy is grieving. And if anybody doesn’t think dogs can’t grieve...

Had my old Ulster readio electrician jack and the Kershaw in my pocket, but never pulled them out once except for this snapshot.

My heart goes out to you and your family, Jeff.

The Diamond Jack was with me today.

Sorry to hear this Jeff. The most brutal thing I've ever had to do was put the family dog to sleep six months ago. I do not envy you right now.

Pshaw! While that knife might be considered 'plain', or even 'homely', I hardly think it is in the same class of 'ugly' as Jack's and my I*XLs. :D

Perhaps someone needs to start an Ugly Knife contest thread...

Didn't we have such a thread a while back? I can't remember TBH! :D

I do have a contender for Ugliest Knife of All Time, well I have a couple of photographs, the knife went in the bin! :D

Not even close, Rachel! Now, this Schrade is a lovely little barlow, but they picked a set of plain delrin, started to cut imitation wood grain into them, and before getting too far must have deciced what’s the use.

Captivated by that fixed blade, Redbeardo. Front pocket carry?
Thanks buddy, belt carrying this one until I get the time to make a pocket sheath for it. Im a bit worried its a tad bit too big though for a pocket.

Headed to tour a machine shop. My good buddies son is looking to get in the trade and my neighbor happens to be a supervisor at a decent sized shop. I put the two of them in contact and I think it's going to work out well for everyone. They don't make any knife parts but it should still be interesting. Think I'll pack this one, for no particular reason other than it's there...

There probably was a thread like that but if so, all those wonderfully ugly pics are lost to the "Great Photobucket Purge of '17" :(

Today, I've got in my pocket an R.Bunting & Son, because @waynorth is a gentleman and a scholar!

Thank you, Charlie! I'm so happy to have a knife from the "Golden Age" of Sheffield pocket knives!

Great looking knives, folks, really nice. I have posted all of my stag barlows (I think), so I am breaking my barlow binge for Stagurday and am carrying this 1979 Kissing Crane large (4.5") cattle knife. That pesky white oak that bedeviled my photos yesterday with its reflection in the bolsters snuck back in again today. I may have to find a new photo spot, as cutting that tree down is too much work.
