Been about a hundred pages since I dropped in herethis one has been in my pocket for some weeks now, these days I tend to fall into carrying a knife for extended periods, and the rest get occasionally fondled and admired, at least the ones within easy reach.

That would be a Camillus-manufactured Case scout knife. Depending on what year it was made in the 80's, it could even be the same #5779 pattern as my stag scout. The only difference would be the main blade, bolsters, and possibly the pins. If it has a longer flathead screwdriver, it's probably built on the old Camillus #14/4 pattern, the predesessor of the 5779 pattern.
Better late than never I guess : Welcome to the forums my friend .Eye Brand stockman that was a gift from my grandparents about 10 years ago. Very special to me.
That green bone is gorgeous! Today I grabbed my Rigid popcorn stag sowbelly.

Here you go, Jake. I got this a month ago at a knife show at the Carpenter's Hall on Hampton Ave., near where the old Arena was.

The brassy yellow color is probably an artifact of reflected light from a surface nearby... Also, was the photo taken late day or early morning? My bet would be the wall or building reflected in the bolster...I had glennbad put ebony scales and rat tail bolsters on a GEC 47. The shield is like what is on some on knives of this pattern that were found on the steamship Arabia wreck. I'll have to get better pictures, I don't know why the bolster looks so yellow, it is the same as the shield. What do you think?

Thanks! It didn't look quite like this when I got it, the middle "dog head" flat part is what was revealed when I sanded down a rather high ridge , as it was a little uncomfortable in the pocket. I think it looks kind of cool now.
