What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

The Buck 110 remains my all time favorite folding knife. Glad to see it represented here!

- enjoying using the Case Sowbelly, nice to roll around in the hand in pocket, and keeps it nice n shiny

That has to be the sexiest Case knife I’ve ever seen. Wow.

I also just ordered a Muslin Micarta
“Thanks to you” :p:D

We seem to have kicked off a trophic cascade of knife purchasing. Uh oh.

I loved my little classic SD SAK so much I decided to see what all the alox fuss was about.

This is a cool knife. A little rough around the edges but I feel like between this and the classic in my coin pocket I have pretty much every situation covered.

Have a great Wednesday everyone!

Excellent photos! And that Bullnose looks at home in the great outdoors!

Why not, that's a handsome knife.

- Stuart

Thank you, Stuart!

That IS a hard question, Dean. I probably use the Minichamp the most - scissors, wharncliffe blade, ink pen, nail file - although the knife doesn't really have any special memories attached to it. The lambsfoot was a surprise gift from @mrknife and has the Guardians association; it's used quite frequently these days (but I'm thinking of switching it for a rosewood lambsfoot that my wife and daughter got me in York a year ago that I enjoy using more and has the family connection). The SBjr came from a BigBiscuit GAW before his first surgery when he had the GAW to ask for prayers, and I've been using it as kind of a prayer reminder or "rosary" or something ever since. But the scrimshawed Rough Rider small stockman may be my favorite, although I rarely actually use it; it represents an attempt to integrate my vocation and my avocation, and I strive to bring together aspects of my life that way!

Holy Cow, Dean!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: What a looker!

- GT

Thank you, Gary, for your kind comment and detailed answer to my question. I thought the scrimshawed RR would be the winner as it has a dual integration (was it not also a gift from a fellow Forumite?).

Carrying a lionSTEEL Roundhead this week, dressed up in some custom green burlap micarta covers from Birdvisknives.

Some knives make one pause and say, "Wow!" Your Lionsteel is one, those covers knock it out of the park!:thumbsup:

I'm carrying my ebony Lambsfoot again today, along with my GEC #66

Jack, I cannot let your GREEN Tidioute 66 got by without a compliment. Of all the covers for the 66s, I think those are the best looking!:thumbsup:

Beautiful shot of your knife among the berries, Gev! Now imagine spreading some Blackberry Jam with that classic treasure.

Todd, I didn't even know that Benchmade did slipjoints. Excellent pairing of knives!

Had to break down a buy a new phone last night. :( I can't bring myself to buy the latest and greatest so I wasn't expecting mind-blowing photo capabilities, but I was expecting a little better photo quality from a phone 3 years newer than my last phone.

My Case Mini Trapper Cap Lifter today.

That is an excellent shot of your mini trapper. So what phone did you get?

My Dad bought me two knives during his life: a Case Sodbuster, Jr. in 1971 when I was 17 and this Case stockman in 2003. I can't help but think of him when I carry it (like today). He was the kindest man I have ever known - to everyone. It's been several years since he passed. Thanks again, Dad!

Strong emotions today- it’s our 37th anniversary today, and 9 months to the day we lost our son. So I thank you for this post.

Think I’ll call my Dad today.

Thanks, RDaneel RDaneel ! I picked up a 2017 Samsung Galaxy J7. The cost of phones these days is ridiculous. I remember when $300 used to get you close to the top of the line smartphones.

This two blade Mardi Gras arrived today (thanks Logan) so I sharpened it and dropped it in my pocket:)

Congrats on that colorful acquisition, Paul!:cool::thumbsup: I appreciate all the 2-bladed knives you show here.;)

Elegant knife! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: Mini trapper?

This USA made Uncle Henry arrived in the mail today and went out for a little elk scouting adventure with me and my daughter. Even put it to use slicing up a little food.
Congrats on the USA Uncle Henry, 315 315 !:thumbsup::thumbsup: Great pics, too!:cool: I sometimes think I judge the quality of stag covers by how closely they resemble UH Staglon.

Tomorrow’s carry without a doubt .
Fresh out of the tube and what a knife .
Could not be more impressed
Xn6ehYG.jpg
Congrats on a splendid knife, @TheFactor !!:thumbsup::cool: When did GEC's "tube tops" switch away from the handwritten IDs??

For my money, your pair is tough to beat, Jack!:cool::cool::thumbsup:

All of a sudden, the tulips are shooting up. View attachment 893546
Jeff, I admire that your knives almost always look used!!:cool::thumbsup:

A better pic of my pretty green peanut.
Joshua, I like your El Greco knife more each time I see it (and I usually say I'm not a green knife guy  but El Greco and @pipedreams308's green peanut are both real attractive)!:thumbsup::cool:

Compelling couple of knives, Ron!:thumbsup::cool:

This one went in my pocket today. I've had it for a while, but it hasn't seen much use at all & needs some patina.
DSC_0041-X3.jpg
I wonder if it will be tough to get that OUT of your pocket now that it's there??:thumbsup::thumbsup:;)

...
But give me something like this any day of the week, it just feels right. So what I learned: trust your own taste and instincts.

I will NOT look at fixed blades. I will NOT look at fixed blades! ...

...Spring has finally sprung here in northern Idaho as well, our tulips are up but not blooming, but our daffodils and hyacinths are just starting to put on their show :)
...

xmMA23b.jpg
Still have some crocuses around, but I haven't seen daffodils or hyacinths or tulips blooming yet. Late spring! Congrats on your first Peanut, Karl!:cool: Sorry that knife wasn't everything you hoped for.

Been gone for a while; it's great to be back! Have these two with me today, Outlaw Jack and (in Pertinux's words) Tacky Tango.

INkuIea.jpg
Ken, it's GREAT to have you and your inspired photos with coordinated knives and backgrounds back!!!:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup::) Have you seen the Blades and Books thread? That might be right up your alley! ;)

... Today, I'm totin' twin Schrade Walden 2OTs for a two-fer on Twos-day. ... The Case 6207 will handle any cutting duties.

- Stuart
Three sensational knives, Stuart!!!:cool::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: Have you shown the 2OTs before? If so, I probably mentioned how the GEC #77 Washington Jacks must be a homage to that pattern.

You can find a congress with plenty of blades, including a main, if you keep looking:
...
Or too many blades!! I find that a 2 blade medium (3.5") half congress rides very well in my pants pockets.
- Stuart
That congress (with 12 blades?) is ridiculous!!;);) I agree with your half-congress remark; see my carries below. ;)

I decided to carry this Case Muskrat today.
Chestnut jigged bone? Very nice, Dean!:cool::thumbsup: I think that will be my next addition to my Case chestnut CV family; is it true that there's no pattern number, just "MUSKRAT" on the tang?

Old, old Camillus. Among more usual suspects.
aFbRtZR.jpg
Thrilling threesome, Jer. :cool::thumbsup::cool:

My newest: It doesn't have as lively figuring as some I've seen, but I'm amazed by how matched the sides are. Were they split from the same piece of wood?

Scaaaary! Can't ever really trust the diabolical black-handled knives!:eek::D

There's none kinder than you my friend, you are always so generous in complimenting everyone :) Nice to see your Okapi Biltong knife :)

Thanks for the encouragement, Jack. :) At this time of year, I welcome that pic of the #66! Springtime, knifeonified. ;)

I’m Totin a pair of Tidioute Jacks today. :)

OO alert!!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Nice Wednesday choice, Ron! ;)

Blandine Bellavoir. Though if I meet Audrey Fleurot first (and she reads BladeForums), I hope she'll take that as a challenge. Dreaming is Free, in the words of the prophet Debby Harry.
:D:D It's good to know that I'm not competing with you, at least, for Catherine Deneuve's affections! ;)

Glorious knife, Steve! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

A post by @Pt-Luso prompted me to carry this one, And why wouldn't I?

Delightful duo, Stuart :thumbsup::thumbsup:, and even with the underlining, I didn't catch your play on words until two posts later!!:D I gotta get more sleep.

Still living the dream. Some of the best GECs I've ever had the pleasure of handling.

Thank You. I'm very happy to get this one, and it's going to be a user! It'll be easier to photograph in the sunlight once it gets some patina. :) The steel is so bright, it's hard to get the exposure right.

(I think my new grail must be a two bladed #14 Barlow in some kind of wood covers, to make a full set)

I always get choked up when I read posts like this. My Dad and Mom are both gone. They were good people and good parents and I miss them everyday. I can't imagine losing a son, Jeff.
Have a peaceful day fellas.

Keeping me company today.

Thanks, GT! Great looking Bucks! While I'm not certain of a series win for the Pelicans, I think a lot of people forgot to look at their team stats after Cousins went down. They can play with anyone right now.

I wish Buck would offer more of their Canoes in different handle material. I know I'm in the minority but I'd probably snag a few.

I must be old. :(
I remember when $300 got you a close to the top of the line IBM desktop - with a 12" diagonal monochrome monitor. (monochrome because color monitors had not been invented yet).
For about the same $300 you could get a top of the line laptop with a built-in printer, and TWO 3.5 inch floppy drives ... or was it two 5.25 inch floppy drives ...
