What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I'd love to like this knife, but the grinds make it look like something from Minecraft. Plus, those tangs seem to stick out more than they need to. What do you like about this knife (I need some convincing!)?

Mainly, that it’s a worker. The grinds are thick. And, the tangs do protrude a bit, but no more so than many other knives I have.
While it’s not svelte, it really doesn’t have a “clunky” feel in hand. It’s a good worker and the 420 is pretty easy to sharpen.

That's good enough for me. I like the defined edges on the blades' surfaces. A bit different, like the difference between a '67 Roadrunner and a '70 Barracuda. I think that the extended tangs may make final fitting easier, but I don't construct knives. Of course, I don't feel that you have to justify your appreciation for a knife. It may be quantifiable, but mostly it's "personal". Nice knife.

I just took these out of the mailbox and had to post photographs. These knives are amazing! Perfect fit and finish. Very strong but manageable pull with incredible snap. The muscle bone has incredible texture and color. I know these are not for everyone, but everyone should have a chance to check one out at least once. I have never seen anything like them and like it much more than I thought I would. I can see myself using and carrying one of these. Now which one to keep?
For some reason, those knives make me think of Popeye the Sailor. :D I'd like to read your impressions if you actually do carry and use one.

Quite a handful of stag you had there, Stuart!:cool:

Decided to join my company's crawfish boiling team this year; so I've been enjoying my birthday by boiling crawfish and drinking beer all day. We won't win the competition, but we're the life of the party. Of course, I've got a cap lifter on me in my Case Beer Trapper.

Belated birthday greetings, Shawn! :thumbsup::thumbsup::)

Packing this nice 66 today. Love the stag.

Dressed it up a bit for church today.
Gary, Stuart, and Ken, thanks for showing off some of your Sunday Best!:cool::thumbsup:

LOL! :D I know what you mean, I feel a bit like that after reading Dave @Horsewright's tales! :D At least, thanks to Dave, I now know which end goes forward! :D  I was once drinking with an Irish friend of mine, who has a farm in Scotland. He was trying to get me to visit him, and asked me if I could ride a horse. In my somewhat drunken state, it sounded like the most ridiculous question in the world. I told him, somewhat indignantly, "Of course I can't ride a horse, I'm from Sheffield!" :D
:D:D

Lovely lambsfoot and rare brew, Joshua!!:thumbsup::cool:

Well, now I know who woke up early Saturday morning to watch a royal wedding! :D
Turned on the TV at 6am to see the local news and weather while I sorted laundry, but that wedding was on. I watched the blushing bride get out of a fancy car and a couple of little boys had to carry her train while she climbed the stairs to the chapel. Then I switched to SportsCenter.

"That distinctive dark duo outshines the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, IMHO!;) Nice pairing, Lance!" Well thank you Gary! I had to share that compliment with my wife, who was enthralled by the whole royal wedding thing.
I hope she took the comparison well, Lance. ;)

Thanks for the birthday wishes, GT! The summation of your morning gave me a hearty chuckle!

Thanks for the compliment on the SAK/Douk Douk combo 5K Qs 5K Qs , they do make a surprisingly good pair. That Buck canoe you have up there is great!

Carrying these 2 on this very rainy day :

Harry

Harry that has to be some of the most beautiful ironwood I’ve seen yet. And those are fine chunks of stag as well.

Today I spent a few hours in the garden with old faithful here:

Sounds like a rough time. I hope the day turned around after that!
Oh yeah, takes more than that to ruin my day! Though it’s been a long time since a knife bit me (it was a keeper too). The toe is pretty deep even though it’s a small cut, going to need some skin glue on that one for sure. Probably could have used a stitch. :D

Glad y’all like it. My best user is a Mora bushcraft knife with that big ugly rubber grip that just works.

Put a RR 898 Ol' Yellah' six blade Stockman in my pocket today.
Blades are:
Long Clip Point
Short Clip Point
Short Spear Point (AKA: "Pen Blade")
Long Spear Point
Sheepsfoot
Spey/Budding.

Six blades are more versatile than three, right?

Yes. All the blades play nicely together. There is no blade or liner rub.
