What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

With sultry summer days ahead, it's time to get ready for fishin' and whittlin'. Today I'm totin' an L.L. Bean fisherman's knife and Wester Bros. swell center whittler. Note: Goins dates Wester Bros. from 1904 to 1967, but the anchor stamp on the small clip's tang dates from 1891 when they were Jacoby & Wester. Their knives were made by Wester & Butz (Solingen), except during the WWI years.

Wester is a new one to me. Are the covers bone or stag?
Wonderful photo, Gev!

I'm not aware of a 1-blade RR peanut either, but yours seemed so steady of the scale in that earlier pic (did it have BOTH blades open?). What are the covers on your pretty-as-a-princess #25? That's "raiment" worthy of a royal wedding!

You got me! I had to open both blades to make it behave for the photograph!

The covers are pioneer bone and I believe these must have been some of the nicest of the run. It’s a total beauty!

Whew!! Jack I was afraid that chart might have been your Blood Pressure after having to ship all of the 2018 Guardians Lambsfeet to their respective homes. :D That is some pretty erratic speed there my friend. I recently changed from DSL to cable internet. My down load speeds are consistently between 110 and 115mbs. I’ve been very pleased so far. That Ebony Guardian is destined to be a classic Jack, just a beautiful knife. By the way mine are still visiting Jamaica NY! :D

There’s probably no way I can keep from getting a speeding ticket this morning! I got a new Orange Mustang out of its tube this morning to share the driveway with my Maroon Viper! ;)

Stain free so you won't get any marks on your licence Ron :D

Maybe GEC should launch a Thunderbird pattern, or a Stingray ?

:) They could call it anything they wanted to Will. We both know if it was Stainless and had typical Great Eastern style and build quality they would sell all they could build! :D
