What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

My rotation schedule has even more redundancy than I realized! :eek::rolleyes: Two sowbelly stockman examples in my pockets this week.
Stockman of the Week is this Case chestnut jigged bone CV sowbelly (thanks, Ron):

Gary, the only thing better than one Sowbelly is two! :thumbsup::D

Splendid knife, Ken, and creatively thematic pic, as always! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Classy chassis on those lasses, Paul! ;):cool::thumbsup:

Sometimes you get a knife that just clicks in every way. This one is incredible, rams horn Zulu by Andy Fannin. First time I have handled a knife by him and I sure hope not the last.

What a stunner, Drew!! :eek::cool::cool::thumbsup:

Warm weather continues, so these small, flat and light knives are a joy to carry when dressed lightly. How you dress (jeans vs. light trousers with slash pockets) makes a real difference when choosing daily carry.

Nice knife! What you said about weather and knife carry is how it goes with me. When summer comes, I almost always carry small and light knives. Winter is for carrying those larger ones.

Out hiking the trail today with these two knives.

Thanks! Certain knives just go together. Not matching, but complementing.
I spend far more time coordinating my knives than my outfits. :oops:
H HFinn and @RDaneel , your Queen Barlow and your terrific teardrops are handsome knives! :cool::cool::thumbsup: I have no right to tell you how to arrange your priorities, but I AM entitled to my opinion, and I think you have things backwards! ;):eek: I think our daily carry should determine how we dress! :thumbsup::D @r8shell has the right attitude, IMHO! :thumbsup::thumbsup:;)

Today I am loading again in my pocket, this Portuguese knife!!!

Great shot of the new lambsfoots on the block, Ron! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Patience, young lady! ;) People are gonna think that's your first ever stag knife!! :thumbsup::D You don't see Steve getting all worked up about another opportunity to show off his killer stag lambsfoot! :p

I finally took a decent picture of the Giraffe bone on this Fremont. The surface is smooth and glossy which makes it difficult to capture. View attachment 915996
Wow, that's good-looking bone!! :eek::thumbsup::thumbsup:

You take some awfully attractive photos, @Roscotanna !! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Feels like a good day for a stockman... GEC #66

Refined Calf Roper, John! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

I was hoping that the flat light from an overcast sky would allow this knife to glow gold glare-free. Instead, it dulled the glow to a flat brass. And what appear to be flaking spots on the covers are, in "the real world", deflections of light from irregularities under the surface. Oh, well, it's what I'm carrying today, so I'm stuck with this rendition (may try again on a clearer day). A small toothpick from Belknap Hardware & Manufacturing Co. (1904-1968):

I have a "thang" for 2-bladed big toothpicks, so my heart skipped a beat when I saw your beauty, Stuart. Then I read that it was a small toothpick and regained my composure. How small is it - 3"?

If my coffin could be a Black Box like that, I'd be one happy corpse! :rolleyes: What a glorious jack, Icky Thump Icky Thump !! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

What a sublime ebony/elkory contrasting pair, Mike! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Thanks Gary! Much appreciated! Tough times don't last, tough people do!
:thumbsup::thumbsup: Well-said, Lance.

The mighty Excalibur Bull Nose was in pocket again for this morning's wanderings.

Thanks for the comments, Gary! Cool Canoes you're carrying today!
Dean, you must have ESP! :eek: How did you know I had cool canoes? :confused: Well, I guess i always have my canoe of the week, but how did you know I picked up a Buck canoe at Malwart yesterday and put it in my pocket??

Thanks pal, two good-looking Sowbellys there :thumbsup:
Thanks, Jack. :)

GT, the background pic is cropped pic of the Stockman Casino, Elko, Nevada. Love your sow bellies!
Thanks X 2, Ken. :)

Gary, the only thing better than one Sowbelly is two! :thumbsup::D
Thanks, Ron. :) I certainly feel that way, but I don't know if that's a general consensus. :p

Thanks Gary, and classy canoes my friend:cool::thumbsup:

God save the Queens, even those round-headed, one-armed Barlow ones!! Rousing Royalty, Stuart!! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Thanks, GT, I really like those aluminum frames with covered back springs.

Almost all the knife you'll ever need sometimes!! ;):thumbsup:

You are correct, GT, and it has been my single EDC many times.

I have a "thang" for 2-bladed big toothpicks, so my heart skipped a beat when I saw your beauty, Stuart. Then I read that it was a small toothpick and regained my composure. How small is it - 3"?

It's 3.5", GT and very easy in the pocket. Your Buck canoe is calculatingly captivating is its design. Of your previously shown scintillating sowbellies, I prefer the Buck, but they are all very fine.

Captivating couple of knives, Todd! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Remarkable Ram Marbles stockman, @deltaboy !! :cool::thumbsup:

You (and some others) have me thinking seriously about Knights and Squires and Princes, Heath!! ;):cool: Enchanting desert pics, too! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Those 2 knives will definitely help you keep those dogies movin', Jack! :thumbsup::D

God save the Queens, even those round-headed, one-armed Barlow ones!! Rousing Royalty, Stuart!! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Capital pair, r8shell, the flame on your stag complements the ivory Key Keen Kutter. :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Pair with primo patina, Buzz! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks, Jack. :)

That makes it even better! :thumbsup::D

Sexy Sixty-Six Stockman, Ken! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: What's the background building??

Thanks for the additional info, Steve. :thumbsup::)

Kind of you to say so, sir! :)

Thanks for the happy update on the do-it-yourself fix of your slimline trapper, H HFinn !! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks, Stuart; I'll NEVER forget my first. :) (Although I should probably find a duplicate that I can carry without worrying about losing it. :eek:)

Thanks for the feedback, Dean; I have to do a better job of coordinating the components in my rotation schedule. There's often some undesirable redundancy! :rolleyes: Passionate pair in your picture! :cool::thumbsup:

Cool story, @lambertiana !! :cool::thumbsup:

Almost all the knife you'll ever need sometimes!! ;):thumbsup:

What brand stockman is that, Steve? Aggressive spey blade!! :cool::thumbsup:

Bow before the Ancient of days! ;):thumbsup::thumbsup:

Sincerest sympathies to you and your family for your loss, Taylor.
Praying for you all, and also for your wife and you, Lance. Tough times.

Sounds like you had a great time, Karl! Your pics are fantastic, and remind me of one of my all-time favorite TV shows, Leave It To Beaver!! ;):thumbsup::thumbsup:
