I was hoping that the flat light from an overcast sky would allow this knife to glow gold glare-free. Instead, it dulled the glow to a flat brass. And what appear to be flaking spots on the covers are, in "the real world", deflections of light from irregularities under the surface. Oh, well, it's what I'm carrying today, so I'm stuck with this rendition (may try again on a clearer day). A small toothpick from Belknap Hardware & Manufacturing Co. (1904-1968):

I actually don't know Stuart, I've never grown or used tarragon, but I'd guess you are right
I took the pic in front of a community herb garden in a small town I was visiting today When I was a kid, there was a children's TV programme called 'The Herbs'. All the herbs were characters - Lady Rosemary, Sir Basil, Bayleaf the gardener, and Tarragon the dragon!
