What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Is it Saturday yet?

Nice knives, r8shell, and a fabulous old rosemary bush. I could smell it through my monitor.

I finally took a decent picture of the Giraffe bone on this Fremont. The surface is smooth and glossy which makes it difficult to capture.

Thanks for the second photo, I thought it was wood when you last posted it. Very nice.

Carrying same folder, thought I'd do a pic of my edc fixed blade

That's fine, right there. Thanks for sharing.

SteveC SteveC If you keep raising the bar, I'm going to melt my knives into a shovel and dig my grave. Handsome knife in a fitting setting.

I was hoping that the flat light from an overcast sky would allow this knife to glow gold glare-free. Instead, it dulled the glow to a flat brass. And what appear to be flaking spots on the covers are, in "the real world", deflections of light from irregularities under the surface. Oh, well, it's what I'm carrying today, so I'm stuck with this rendition (may try again on a clearer day). A small toothpick from Belknap Hardware & Manufacturing Co. (1904-1968):

Nice knives and pics today, folks!
Once again this. I wish somebody could make some Burlap Micarta like this old rag-mat it's shown on:cool:

@HFinn yes the weather this month is unlike anything. It's getting near a drought in this part....

Will, every time I see that pruner I tell myself I gotta get me one! I'm not sure I'd use it much, but it is a work of art IMO.

The three amigos for me today.

I actually don't know Stuart, I've never grown or used tarragon, but I'd guess you are right :) I took the pic in front of a community herb garden in a small town I was visiting today :) When I was a kid, there was a children's TV programme called 'The Herbs'. All the herbs were characters - Lady Rosemary, Sir Basil, Bayleaf the gardener, and Tarragon the dragon! :D
