I stepped out for 30 seconds to take this pic, and the mosquitos called a feeding frenzy.

Beautiful!I finally took a decent picture of the Giraffe bone on this Fremont. The surface is smooth and glossy which makes it difficult to capture. View attachment 915996

Carrying same folder, thought I'd do a pic of my edc fixed blade
Did you mod that blade or are my eyes playing tricks on me because of the patina?
Thanks!Fantastic picture!
Need a double like with some Ry Cooder!I was hoping that the flat light from an overcast sky would allow this knife to glow gold glare-free. Instead, it dulled the glow to a flat brass. And what appear to be flaking spots on the covers are, in "the real world", deflections of light from irregularities under the surface. Oh, well, it's what I'm carrying today, so I'm stuck with this rendition (may try again on a clearer day). A small toothpick from Belknap Hardware & Manufacturing Co. (1904-1968):

Will, every time I see that pruner I tell myself I gotta get me one! I'm not sure I'd use it much, but it is a work of art IMO.Once again this. I wish somebody could make some Burlap Micarta like this old rag-mat it's shown on
@HFinn yes the weather this month is unlike anything. It's getting near a drought in this part....
