What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Late getting to posting today. For frivolous Fisherman Friday, I'm rolling with this Remington R 1615 Fisherman (by Camillus 1988). This knife shows the cruel curse of celluloid covers, as all of the metal was covered with rust when I found it. the shield looked like an old penny. Flitz, 0000 steel wool, and elbow grease got it back to a respectable condition, but remnants of rust remain where covers and bolsters meet and on the backspring. Stored in its box for who knows how long, the gases from the candy stripe celluloid even deteriorated the wrapping paper in the box. Pretty covers, but certainly not worth the risk, particularly for a fishing knife. The enclosed owners sheets states:"Properly cared for, this knife will give you a lifetime of excellent service." Well, the blade still opens and cuts.

Very cool, I hope it stabilizes for you, hate to see you lose that one.
Funny, looking at the box and knife, it looks old, but 1988 doesn't seem like so long ago!

Travman Travman Hey I really like the look of that. my two favorite styles are sodbuster and barlow, and that looks like a barlow & sodbuster had a lovechild. What is the model? Thanks!
It is a Northwoods Madison Barlow. I think these were made in 2015 or 2016. They came in one or two blade combinations. Basically a large curved Barlow similar in size and shape as the relatively new GEC 43’s.

Thanks, really great looking knife. I got a "thing" for medium to large single blades.and that ones got features from my favorites combined into one great package.

Glad someone picked that knife up. Looks like a good one! I actually have him making me one very similar with wharncliff and pen blades and hopefully some redder stag. Good grab!
Thanks! She’s pretty sweet.

The Churchill is very persistent when it comes to pocket time:thumbsup: Enjoy the weekend everyone:)

I like everything in that picture, and the picture.

Off to my 60th Highschool reunion and will be carrying these 2 for the next couple of days

I went my 50th last summer. The guys looked as old as me, but the girls were still fabulous. The guys and i drank our resentment away late into the night (and talked about how great the girls looked). Things don't change a whole lot, except for the better.

Case XX USA 1965-69 6233 Pen Knife

That's a knife to cherish and carry. Congrats.
