What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

And he did the playing for Ralph Macchio's part in Crossroads, and the guitar playing in Streets of Fire!

Feeling Black Friday today!

Beautiful old Wostenholm. And, it doesn’t get any better than Ry Cooder playing “Get Out of Denver”!

Nice IXL Mitch

Late getting to posting today. For frivolous Fisherman Friday, I'm rolling with this Remington R 1615 Fisherman (by Camillus 1988). This knife shows the cruel curse of celluloid covers, as all of the metal was covered with rust when I found it. The shield looked like an old penny. Flitz, 0000 steel wool, and elbow grease got it back to a respectable condition, but remnants of rust remain where covers and bolsters meet and on the backspring. Stored in its box for who knows how long, the gases from the candy stripe celluloid even deteriorated the wrapping paper in the box. Pretty covers, but certainly not worth the risk, particularly for a fishing knife. The enclosed owners sheets states:"Properly cared for, this knife will give you a lifetime of excellent service." Well, the blade still opens and cuts.

Weird distortion of perspective courtesy of my phone's camera. The blade on the Forum Stag Jack is in reality longer than the Lambfoot.

Regardless, that's a great picture, r8shell.

I took a chance on something different and really like it. This is a J D Ware folder. Impeccably well made and solid as a tank with the single piece bolster/liner. I will be totin this one a lot!

Wow!! That's ample antler, alright, and a lot to like in that knife. Congrats, Leslie.

I think that's really nice Leslie, @JDWARE makes beautiful knives, which are both interesting and different  There's even one in the Lambsfoot thread if you look for it ;)

A new (to me) #77 Barlow, single sheepsfoot blade, with tan sawcut bone.
I knew right away that this was going to be my most often carried knife (when not at work). No collection drawer for this one!
So, I gave it a good bath, forced a light vinegar patina, dropped the kick slightly (backspring still flush), gave it an edge, and oiled it up.
