What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Carried these 2 to the YMCA and then to coffee with some friends . These 2 just make me feel real good .

While at coffee , one of my friends , gave me a knife like he used to give out to customers of his when he was a V.P. of International Sales for his company . He had also given me a Colonial like it a year ago . 5 &3/4 long with a 4 & 1/2 cutting edge . Sausage knife or Melon Tester

Then when we got home , I switched out to Old Faithful work knife

Sounds like a great day!

I have one of those Army Field Notes books that I found among my son’s things that he used in A’stan.

Interesting details scribbled in there about which sectors/roads they were going out to, who was assigned as driver, who was on the .50, who was dismount, etc

Names of Afghans they were working with and a few mentions of running into a team of Australians.

Thanks for jogging my memory!:thumbsup:

Thank you very much my friend . I thought I would see how my knives looked on your box .

Harry
Starrett mics were always the best as far as I was concerned with Brown & Sharpe a close second. I had a brand new 0-1” Satin Chrome Starrett in my desk when I retired. It was probably 30 years old! You know me my friend, I always try to have at least one Back Up! :p:D I gave the mic to one of my apprentices and told him to take care of it and treat it well and he could pass it on in 30 years when he retires! ;)

Nice to be off, I brought the Beer Scout, my #77, my stag #73...my new #15 clip and my new antique TC are sitting in my mail box...:confused:

The right tool(s) for the job (and the day); great selections, Stuart! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

My Free Choice knife this week is a Case Tribal Lock

Thanks, GT. That Case is a champ!!

Tidioute Thursday.

So fine and so unreal how the covers resemble the 1958-1960 Queen model 61 that I posted today at #117657. So very cool!

Thanks, Jeff. We need to know and appreciate those memories, too.

Thank you, Jack. A great photo, my friend, with a particularly tasty looking ale.

Looks like a great knife day Harry :thumbsup:

Those two knives are very high on my list of favorite knives, Jack! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Phenomenal knife, Will! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: I hope you get some rain soon.

Admirable knife(s), Pt-Luso Pt-Luso !! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Gotta get one of those special Vics; I think those Warthog (and related model) SAKs are a fantastic variation! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

I'm a day late, but that's a well-chosen wood for a Wednesday, Ron and mitch! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

What knife model vanquished the apple?? ;) Boffo bocote covers! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

That's fancy, Alan! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Congrats on your Great Knife Day, @l9ll ! I find the scratted Ancient especially compelling! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

:eek::p:D You should post this in the Mug Shots thread: https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/traditional-mug-shots.1009881/

I see what you did there. ;) You should demand a recount, though. Handsome knives, Dean! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Sheep/pen, tree-stamped bolster, sawcut Böker Barlow for the win! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks, Ron. :) I grabbed the first version of "I Wish it Would Rain" that came up, but I found out after supper last night that there are some cooler videos where those guys show off their dance moves while performing the song!! :cool::cool:

Thanks for the big compliments on the little canoe, guys. My mini canoes are 2.75" closed (1/8 inch shorter than a Peanut), while the regular canoes are 3 5/8". (I do have a few "medium" canoes at 3 1/8" closed.) Here's a cracked ice Imperial pair:

Thanks, Jack. :)

My town got its first Chick-Fil-A about 1.5 years ago, and I had a student at the time who came from near Atlanta who was just so elated! :confused::p

Always a treat to see that TEW, Harry! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: (But where's its usual buddy?? :confused:;))

Lotta those ebony 15s showing up here lately, but their owners don't say much about them; @Jak3 or @Pàdruig , how about a brief description of some of their desirable features for a geezer who doesn't hand out at the GEC site very often? ;):thumbsup::thumbsup: The two you've posted and Dylan's ebony Guardians Lambsfoot sure are beautifully black!! :cool::cool:

That is one AMBITIOUS toad!! :eek::p:p

That must be something you really treasure Jeff. They're great well-made notebooks, a bit more expensive here than some of the alternatives, but I think they're worth it, and I get through a fair few of them :thumbsup:

Hope everyone has had a good week :) I'm carrying these two for Black Friday ;) :thumbsup:
