What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I found this like new Schrade Walden 204 awhile back on the big auction site for $35 delivered. I Was really quite surprised no one else went after it. I finally decided to put an edge on it and put it into the rotation.View attachment 928562 View attachment 928563

That is the kind of score that I like. Nice find.

For me the dynamic duo of ebony and ironwood:

Sometimes I feel nostalgic about the good ole days.:D This was a knife that was gifted to me by Charlie way back at the 2011 OKCA show, first time I ever attended. I asked him what he wanted for it? He said "just give me the change in your pocket." I think it was .35 cents! What a guy!!! It's an old Shapleigh D/E, probably made by Schrade. Sharp doesn't begin to tell it, and look at that handle and shield, nice and worn down. I carry this oldie a bunch!

Oh man, I love those old, worn covers!

Impressive Cattaraugus display, Harry!:cool::thumbsup: I admire your positive attitude and just making do with what you've got! ;):D
Nifty line-up of gifts, Harry!:cool::thumbsup: (Someone didn't give an old Case/IH guy like you a John Deere RussLock, did they?? ;))

Peanut of the Week for me is a Case with brown jigged Delrin covers (thanks, Cory):

Thanks for the kind words GT !!!!!
I adjust happy to find an Old Cattaraugus at a decent price . I am retired guy on a fixed income you know .
Yes , one of my Daughters gave me the Case Russlock John Deere edition . Even though I worked for Case for 36 years , I do have 2 John Deere Lawn Tractors because Case did not make any when I needed some .
Take care my old retired friend . Enjoy your retirement . You deserve it .

Thanks GT, three smaskers there :)

Doing a little pruning this morning. 95 degrees yesterday, 73 today. Turned the central air off and opened the windows. I'll take it.

Happy pruning Gary, I never tire of seeing that beauty :)

Good morning, folks. Been a few days since I posted in this thread.

I have these two within easy reach today. Just have to say that the Stag has become a fast favorite.

That Charlie :) Great story Perry, and a lovely pic

Charlie also gifted me the IXL Barlow I'm carrying today, along with my ebony 2018 Guardians Lambsfoot

J., as I'm sure you're aware, that looks exactly like an Uncle Henry except for the tang stamps. Possibly a 2004 "end of days" knife, or a cutler's Frankenknife. Either way, a perfect EDC.

Thank you Mr. Jeff, but I do not know who did it. Has not written "Made in China"!!
