Your sawcut Ancient and chestnut teardrop are perfectly pictured in those natural settings, Dean!
Thanks for the comments on my knives, Stuart. Thanks, GT. As you know, I'm learning about the knives that I find as I dig through the boxes and cases that my stepfather left to me - find a knife, research it, take a picture, and post it. It's a constant chore, but i love it (so far). Those RR's are nice, particularly the canoe, but the Marble's is one that I could work with.

Thanks for the glove info,The gloves we're given to me by my dad, issued to him around '78 in basic at ft Bliss TX.

And those afe Some real great knives you're carrying, I especially like the little imperial diamond edge.
I tend to prefer the vintage knives, Harry, but there's no denying the surpassing beauty of the bone on that pair!!

That food looks WAY better than birthday cake to me, Joshua!View attachment 939301
Celebrated my niece’s and daughter’s July birthdays today with some delicious food.
Yikes, Stuart, that tip-bolstered pair certainly moves the needle a long way for me!... Here's a 3 blade Imperial senator from 1935-1945 and a Union Cutlery Co. office knife (with erasure blade) from 1911-1951 that may give a better comparison, particularly as to bolsters.

Do you have a go-to research resource (website, book, whatever) or is it mostly Google for each knife?

I appreciate your comments, Jeff. When I was a kid on a dairy farm, I used my one and only knife a dozen times every day, I think. Now, in my golden years, I have this knife affliction and I own dozens of knives (actually in the hundreds by now) and have almost no reason to use any of them, except for food prep and whittling.
Congrats on your new arrivals, Paul!I hope no one is foolish enough to try "yanking your chain"!
That food looks WAY better than birthday cake to me, Joshua!Birthday greetings to the girls.

Some of my favorites are my CV Case chestnut jigged bone knives. I didn't plan it this way, but my rotation schedule has a couple of them in my pockets this week: mini trapper as my miscellaneous knife of the week and peanut as my peanutish knife of the week. As my free choice knife of the week, I grabbed a chestnut jigged bone teardrop for the triple play!!
