Oh my, some nice bone color on that Schatt!

So many remarkable knives posted here since I last visited, but I won't have time (or space) to remark on all of them. :(

That's a classy pair!! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Boffo Bulldog, Lance! Cool tang stamp and blade etch! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Commendable bone on that jack, Spaten Spaten !! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

That's a dandy, Leslie, with the slender serpentine shape, round bolsters, and script shield! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: Eye-catching color on the covers, too; what does Case call that?

First-rate photo of an old friend of yours, FBC! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

A Vic Cadet is such a grand, likable knife! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Handsome pair, Jack; it's good to see that Unity lambsfoot getting its turn to spend some time with your latest Ancient! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Impressive subjects in your photo, Will! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: The stag on your 83 is outstanding, your slip from Bob is a fine memento, and that amber jigged bone Case stockman is a desirable model.

Your Workhorse is a real thoroughbred, Ron! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Three absolute classics, Jeff! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup: Do you have more than one modified Camillus TL-29? The wood looks much darker on this one than what i think I remember.

That's a jaw-droopingly good-looking knife, Travman! :eek::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Kudos on an excellent photo of a laudable old knife, Gev! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Looks quite marvelous to me, Jer! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: I have a humpback stockman that's a favorite.

Thanks for the paisley props, guys! :):thumbsup: And thanks, Stuart, for noting my canoe. :)

Thanks, Ron. :) About a month ago, on @afishhunter's recommendation, I picked up one of the canoes you described, I think. Does yours look like this?

That's a noble Knife, Nick! :eek::eek::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Optimal cattle knife, Paul T.!! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Thanks for the info about your teardrop pen blade and for the canoe compliment, Dean. :)
Peerless chestnut bone teardrop! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: What are the greens you're harvesting?

:D:D

:D:D

That's a rapturous, distinctive knife, Leslie!! :cool::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks for noticing both my vague musical allusion and my Buck canoe, @Ratbert !! :)

Thank you both for the kind words. This thread certainly leaves you behind in a hurry. I’m sure I missed many great knives in the past few days. I’ve got this Queen made Northwoods in my pocket today. I heard these were hit and miss, but mine has tight construction and good walk & talk.

Today's carry and used : TEW Lambfoot

Until the Mail man came

Harry
Congratulations on your first TC Harry! :thumbsup: It actually looks older than your TEW! :eek:

They make a great couple Jack! :thumbsup: I’ve been noticing that your new Sambar has the blade etch. I was wandering if this designates this knife as a first? I know it definitely appears first quality in every way!! :D

Today I’ve kept the NF Barlow from yesterday and added the Northfield GEM to keep it company! :)

Nothing wrong with Drop Points, Spears, Wharncliffes, feet from Sheep and Lambs, Joshua. Speys? I don't think so....:cool:

Thanks, Will

Naturally, though a man will have his favorites. Your comment about speys sounds like a challenge a knifemaker should take up to prove you wrong. I like to think about knife shapes in terms of the whole knife--if the handle lines complement the blade shape, then you have something more special than just a generic handle shape with a blade attached to it.

@kai76 Nick, let me join the chorus of compliments on your old Schrade sleeveboard. What a wonderful thing to see - tip bolsters and time worn jigging - first thing in the morning. It's a beauty!

These two for me today :) :thumbsup:

Nice pair, Jack. I saw your post around 9:30 am this morning, which appears to be the same time of day over your way that you posted. Seeing that pint in your picture changed all of my breakfast plans.

I’ve got this Queen made Northwoods in my pocket today.

I like a Queen, even by another name. That's a fine one.

Today I carry this 73 in my pocket...

I like the knife AND the picture.

Today I’ve kept the NF Barlow from yesterday and added the Northfield GEM to keep it company! :)

Stacking the deck, eh, Ron? That's a potent and pretty pair.

As usual, I am enjoying seeing everyone’s knives. Even though I will never own most of these, I can experience them right here.
Case & SW today ~

I agree with you, Jeff. I don't own a single GEC knife, but I get to enjoy looking at fine examples in this thread. I didn't even know about them before I arrived on the Porch. Thanks for sharing, folks.
