My first slip joint and GEC.
Bought it a couple of years ago, but have never really used it because of the stiff spring.
It gave in at last after several attempts of relaxing the spring.
Happy to be able to use it now :)
What a great practical knife!

Is that the Osage orange wood?
The #73L is an awesome carry and very handy.

Naturally, though a man will have his favorites. Your comment about speys sounds like a challenge a knifemaker should take up to prove you wrong. I like to think about knife shapes in terms of the whole knife--if the handle lines complement the blade shape, then you have something more special than just a generic handle shape with a blade attached to it.

Think maybe he's referring to a spey blades intended function! ;)

They make a great couple Jack! I’ve been noticing that your new Sambar has the blade etch. I was wandering if this designates this knife as a first? I know it definitely appears first quality in every way!! :D

Thanks Ron :) Erm...I'm not sure Ron! It was one of five Wright's made for me

Suddenly, I feel like scrapping other plans and going fishing.

Great before and after!

As usual, I am enjoying seeing everyone’s knives. Even though I will never own most of these, I can experience them right here.

Going fishing is always a great plan! :D Nice pairing there :)

Nice pair, Jack. I saw your post around 9:30 am this morning, which appears to be the same time of day over your way that you posted. Seeing that pint in your picture changed all of my breakfast plans.

LOL! :D Thanks Stuart, that pic was taken a couple of days ago. Honest! :D ;) :thumbsp
