You all are edc'n some purdy knives shown in here lately. I sure do look forward to seeing them when I swagger in here now and then. Thanks for continuing to share you're great hardware with us..

Here is a recent Case 6383WH Swell Center Whittler in a sweet Chocolate Brown bone I was fortunate enough to trade for with a good friend and blade brother right here in this forum. I slipped her into my pocket this morning and have been using her today. Thanks again, Mike..

Hi Anthony,
Very nice knife. Are those canes one you whittled, or carved? I am really itching to try that, but hvae not taken the plunge.

Bill

I almost left home without something traditional today---then I realized how stupid I was being. :D

I carried my Case Large Stockman in amber jigged bone today---still loving the CV.

Hello Bill,

Thanks, the one on the right is a cane I carved and the one on the left is a wilderness/walking stick/staff & work in progress.

Ebony QCCC teardrop jack and Schatt and Morgan "carmel" (sic) doctor's knife today. The snap on the pen blade on the Queen is ridiculous- look out! It's almost dangerous if you're not paying attention. And you'd better believe that sucker's sharp!
1095 and ebony- what's not to like?

actually started yesterday, carrying my '04 S&M Wildcat Driller, its big but i'm getting used to it:D i cant buy knives so i'm carrying my previous indiscretions:cool:

I'm carrying around a Case Sodbuster Jr. I picked up at Lowes the other day. It's quite nice, despite the plastic handles. Great snap, nice size, and very light. The only negative would be the etching on the blade, but I can get over that.

This is actually only the second traditional slipjoint (barring SAKs) that I've owned, the first being a Buck 371 that I picked up last May, and absolutely adore.

Both of these are great choices for good no-nonsense EDC pocket knives and will perform very well in the field.

Welcome to the Traditional fold. :)

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm currently looking at a Trapper of some sort. I usually pair up with a Pacific Salt (I like the non-rusting steel :)), which isn't very public-friendly due to its size (I despise the term 'Sheeple'), but can't bare to not use it. That's why I generally double-fist, so to speak.

I am carrying a Queen City red worm groove bone mini trapper with 1095 steel blades that I received from CK.net recently. The blades are a bit thin but they are slicers! Real apple assassins those blades! The color looks different in different light but one side is a bit darker red than the other. I like it though! The grooves are carved deep and do help in gripping the knife well.

That thing is a beauty! I almost got one, but I already have the Canoe run of Queen City. Real pleased with it. Thanks for sharing!

Indeed! Thanks for that pic! I was just considering that knife last night, but wasn't sure of the bone on it.. think I'll get one now.

--------------------

Nothing so far today, but yesterday was this nice little Amherst Cutlery ivory canoe, took it instead of the 5" hunter- if I forgot to leave it in the car and I had to take it out and leave it at the security check point at the court house, I didn't want to frighten with lots of blade.. ;)

Get one, then you'll be rollin' deep in tha queen city red worm groove trapper crew. (I couldn't resist myself, it just looks so pocketable!)

I removed almost all the etching off of mine (stainless blade, not very highly polished from the factory) using a piece of 1000 wet/dry sandpaper loaded with Flitz polish. It is still faintly visible, but nothing like it was. This will also remove any vague hint of a patina, so be very aware of that if you decide try it on a CV blade.
