What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

But Mom always said, NO snacking before dinner. :p

1973 Case 6207 Mini Trapper. I do not understand why they call these “mini.” At 3.5 inches with two blades, it is a substantial knife. I just cannot get enough of these vintage Case knives! The depth and variation of color in the bone is just incredible.

I can't explain it, but before 1970 that pattern was a dogleg jack. Here's one of mine from 1940-1964 (along with a 62042 small pen from 1965-1969).

I've done an awful job of keeping up with this thread lately, so I just went and caught up on the last few days.

A new (to me) 2015 Navy knife with carbon blade and jigged Cola bone:thumbsup:

Paul, that's a good looking knife! I don't remember seeing the Cola Bone before, was it part of the standard run?

Today I’m Totin these two. A Northfield 73 in Blood Red Jig Bone and a Guardians Lambsfoot in Ebony. :) Have a great Friday! :D

Love the deep red on that #73, Ron!

Might have to do some yard work later today! ;)

...and if I hadn't seen your thread about this one the other day, I'd really be scratching my head right about now. :D

This saddlebrown TC today (courtesy of a much respected BF member). Best to all. MJ.

I love that dark sawcut bone.

I slipped this USA Schrade Ramrod into my pocket when I went hiking on Friday, so it will probably just ride with me all week.

That's a pristine looking Old Timer!

Today's : The 44 to go with these should be here Monday .

Harry

Great jigging on those two, Harry!

Carrying my AG Russell premium scout today. I have been vacillating on a knife purchase for three days now, trying to convince myself I don’t need another scout :).

I've always like those AG Russell Scouts. I'd love to find one of the jigged bone versions one of these days, but they seem pretty hard to come by.

Well, Sodbuster Sunday was an absolute joy and a pleasure:confused::confused::confused:View attachment 969026

Outstanding sodbuster you've got there!

Happy Monday (wait, is that an oxymoron?), folks.

Decided to give Micarta Monday a try.

That's a well matched pair there, Dylan.

I've been carrying this #25 Barlow for a couple weeks now. I love these WLSTs! :D

Thanks Barrett, it was a regular release, but one I was unaware of until it popped up for sale. I was pleased to see it was a carbon blade as I already have two in stainless:thumbsup:

The wlst is just a great little cutting dynamo:cool::thumbsup: I like the Zippo as well, nice patina:thumbsup:

Thanks, Paul. I agree, the #25 is a surprisingly useful little knife. Compact, yet stout.

The Zippo is my first solid brass Zippo, which my wife gave me on our anniversary back in March. I've been impressed with the patina that's developed with just a few months of use. It started out with a highly polished finish.
