I've always like those AG Russell Scouts. I'd love to find one of the jigged bone versions one of these days, but they seem pretty hard to come by.
I've been carrying this #25 Barlow for a couple weeks now. I love these WLSTs!

An outstanding photo of an outstanding knife.

1973 Case 6207 Mini Trapper. I do not understand why they call these “mini.” At 3.5 inches with two blades, it is a substantial knife. I just cannot get enough of these vintage Case knives! The depth and variation of color in the bone is just incredible.
I can't explain it, but before 1970 that pattern was a dogleg jack. Here's one of mine from 1940-1964 (along with a 62042 small pen from 1965-1969).

Stunningly beautiful!
38 Tidioute in Camel Bone
Grabbed this little guy off the dresser today![]()
Another day with “Stumpy”.
I've been at work since midnight. I figured that since I would only be sweating half of the day instead of the whole day, I'd give the stainless Case Mini Trapper the day off and slip some carbon steel into my pocket.
Not counting the Schrade12OT in my guitar pick pocket, and the Wenger Esquire that’s on the keys in my LF pocket~ these are always there, but rarely mentioned~ I am carrying these Tue for Twosday~
Camillus #70 today
Great micarta duo Dylan!![]()
That's a well matched pair there, Dylan.![]()
I've been carrying this #25 Barlow for a couple weeks now. I love these WLSTs!

Thanks, Paul. I agree, the #25 is a surprisingly useful little knife. Compact, yet stout.
The Zippo is my first solid brass Zippo, which my wife gave me on our anniversary back in March. I've been impressed with the patina that's developed with just a few months of use. It started out with a highly polished finish.

I'm struggling with my back this week, so won't be going far. Hanging onto this one

I can see why they're favorites!
Thanks for the Vic saw report. It does very well for such a little thing. I use the one on my Victorinox Hunter on game and it’s very capable.
Sounds like a marvelous discovery! I hope you can find more good ones in the big bowl! Thanks GT! It certainly helps that I found an antique shop with a big bowl of vintage knives, I cherry picked 5 I really liked last time. I had to stop at 5 only because I didn't have more cash on hand at the time. Hopefully I can go there again this coming Saturday and rescue some more!
Attractive covers on that pair, Jack!
Certainly no sweat to choose that duo, Ron!I’m going to try my best to not break a sweat today!...

Glad you got an ID on the knife.I posted some detailed pics of "Stretch" Schrade in the Schrade sub-forum. ...
Turns out it's a type of muskrat, model 7803 3/4. Not modified. Thanks to the Schrade guys.
Called a Sportsman, according to @Codger_64 twelve and a half years ago.
He probably knows what the blade etch said.
Not for at least 50 years!
Praiseworthy Primble, Tom!
Smoooth, gleaming, colorful bone, Stuart!!Today, I' totin' these two to ward off the Monday morning blues (working so far). A Winchester trapper (2904 1/2) and a Canal Street Cutlery "Pinch".

Congrats on the enthralling ebony Churchill, Alan!
Thanks for jogging my memory, @Travman!5K Qs Thanks. I have shown another stag 26. This one with a spear point. It resides with my brother-in-law now.

I also have this jigged bone version.

The ID of the muskrat was a no-brainer, since I planned to buy one at big Case dealer while we were vacationing; unfortunately, they didn't have one in stock....
Thank you, Gary; and yes, you nailed the knife ID!
Four Case knives at once!! I've got a lot of Case knives, but I don't think I've ever carried four at-a-time. They are all great knives, too. The Humpback is a particularly cool design, the Peanut in stag is a treasure, the slimline Trapper is classy and the mini Trapper is just the right size.![]()
Thanks, GT. I have several Case knives, but none really like your four. I like them all, and the latter two are quite nice.
- Stuart
Yup. I love the blade choice on this knife and the way it's set up with the pulls on the same side.
Your totin' four knives of the same brand? I'm shocked![]()
...
Nice grouping of Case you’ve got going this week.
Thanks pal, great Case line-up there![]()
...
Thanks for the kind comments about my Case quartet, Stuart & John & kfalk & Jack & Ratbert. Thanks, Gary. This particular Old Timer was gifted to me by a friend of my father’s so it’s pretty special to me.
(I really like your Humpback Stockman!)
Thanks for the info. The yellow rectangle is just decorative. Imperial made a number of different patterns with the grooved black handles, some with and some without the yellow. I don't know why.I don't remember if it has liners and can't check, since the knife stayed in New York.

Leslie & Stuart, no matter what you call them, those are some glorious red bone knives you fellows posted!I can't explain it, but before 1970 that pattern was a dogleg jack. Here's one of mine from 1940-1964 (along with a 62042 small pen from 1965-1969).
