It may be inevitable, but I'm resisting. I refuse to go to "cashless" restaurants. If they don't want my money, I don't want their food! When I cash a check at the bank, the teller often tells me that I can deposit it with my phone. I point out that, sadly, my phone does not spit out cash, and besides, I wouldn't want to put her out of a job. :p Yes. I am a curmudgeon.

Oh, that makes sense.

Yeah me too Rachel, cash is all I carry! Those two are very bankable though

A pair in ebony. Happy Wooden Wednesday everybody.

Nice pairing John

A apple a day keep the doctor away .... and gives you the pleasure to use your knives :)

What a fantastic photo! :)

Thanks a lot Ken

Thanks for the compliment on my knife choices! It's true, a lot of blade options. Your carry choices for today are top notch as well. It's hard to beat those two! :)
I had a good breakfast! My brother actually paid! I can't remember the last time that happened! Must have been because it was at Denny's and not Cracker Barrel! :D Sorry about your painful meal! :( Our food was good and the waitress was nice, however, she was not the sharpest knife in the drawer, if you catch my meaning. It was nice to visit my brother, we don't get together near enough!

Thank you Ron, my brother has short arms and deep pockets! :D Sounds like you had a great breakfast my friend :)

Wooden Wednesday carry!

Praiseworthy Primble, Tom!:thumbsup: As far as agonizing over whether to buy a knife you don't need, hasn't that horse been out of the barn for a LOOONG time (for almost everyone here)?? ;)

Lol YES, that horse is loooooooong gone :). And I ordered the scout anyway . Nice selection of multi-layers GT, the alox really pops in your photo!

I sharpened this city knife last night to a very refined edge; these are convex, and are pretty good slicers for as thick as they are. I haven't had occasion to cut anything since, isn't that just the way it goes sometimes?

Kniiiice Stuart. Looks like a perfect every day carry size and disappears in the pocket.

Thanks, Nick, and you hit it on the head. At 3 1/4", it does ride well in the pocket, but still of a size to do actual work appropriate for a small knife. Man, they made solid knives back then to still be so solid today. Snaps like a turtle!

I had an Opinel in Cub Scouts. Now that I’m in my late 30s, I think it’s high time to get reacquainted. Hoooboy is it slicey!:)
Can't beat the Opinel for sliicey :p I have a drawer full of them, although I do wish they made a thinner flat sided model say #7 for pocket carry.
