What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Fine fixed blade, HnS. I could have sworn that I had one like it, until I went looking for it. Dang!
- Stuart
It happens to be an Imperial paring knife, it's nice and thin and cuts pretty well. It feels great in hand and weighs nothing which is a bonus.

A few weeks ago I picked up a fairly similar one made by Robinson which I sharpened and gave to my grandmother.

Check the cutlery bins at Goodwill, I pick knives like this up for 49¢-69¢ usually.

We're finally getting some rain this morning. I dropped this #79 Workhorse in my pocket for around the house. :)

With the spearpoint blade and the sleeveboard frame, that's a knife I like even more than a Churchill, Ron!:thumbsup::cool:

Handsome little horse there, John!:cool::thumbsup:

Now that I'm reunited with my knives, I want to carry them all.

If they're all like that trio, who can blame you, r8shell??:thumbsup::cool: Absence makes the heart grow fonder! ;)

Great carries GT!
...
Thanks, Tom. :)

The one that started it all for me. The first GEC I bought and the madness set in...;)
That's a first-rate first knife, Ken,:cool::thumbsup: and another clever pic that even I was able to figure out today! ;)

These are my Twosday totes: a Boker whittler and a Cannady small game knife.

Smoooth, Stuart; gleaming steel and glistening wood on each!!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Does the Böker have a bas relief tree carved right into the wood cover instead of a shield?? (And a face just to the left of it, staring at the tree??) So cool!

Bewitching bone with jaw-dropping jigging, Nick!:cool::cool:

Congrats on the Chinese 12OT!:thumbsup:

Camillus #70 today

Carrying these two today.

Love the way that blue Farmer pops on the rocks, Tom!:cool:

Case Teardrop in bone and CV and Tiny Muskrat in Ironwood and stainless.

Pristine pair, Dean! :cool::thumbsup:

I am going with a couple of black jacks today.

Dignified distinguished dusky duo, Dylan! ;):thumbsup:

Precisely! :) I really dig that Marble's by the way.
:D Thanks. :)

Thank you, Gary! You have quite a trio of SAKish knives this week!
Thanks, Dean. :)

lol :D I used to have a canoe but it sank :p:p Now, for something different.

A Boker Copperhead. ;)

Looks like more of the same to me, Dave: another compelling copperhead with comely covers!:cool::thumbsup:;)

LB5 again along with this new to me SAK.
Sak's a "Walker" which is a Bantam with a really good wood saw.

I also had my "Smoke Jumper" in my pocket all day too.
This is a very easy carry for a 110. Love it.

Intriguing trio!:thumbsup::thumbsup: The SAK really appeals to me.

Thank you, GT, for the kind comments.

I salute your Recruit, sir.

At ease, and much appreciated. :)

Thanks, GT! I really dig that demo knife. I'll bet that super slim beauty is hardly noticeable among the half dozen other knives you've got on you. :D:p

RE the Amber Jigged Bone: I agree with you. The color on the bone that Glenn used reminds me more of "Amber Stag" than "Amber Bone", but I'm super glad it is more reminiscent of the former rather than the latter. Case's "Amber Bone" is more like a blank canvas, where as the bone that Glenn used is already a piece of art!
Speaking of "blank canvas", Shawn, are you one of the folks who've had some success dying Case amber bone?
The demo knife is indeed hard to notice among the many knives I carry, but it's certainly not because of being super slim (were you kidding me?). It has 2 covers, 2 springs and 3 spacers (but not full-height liners), so 7 stainless steel layers across the spine of the knife - it's a stainless brick!

Thanks GT! :) I wish I could say the same now! Just got in from some more landscaping duties and I'm setting here all sweaty waiting on my wife to finish her shower first! ;) Bet you didn't think I was a gentleman like that did you!? :p :D
I'm sure you're a perfect gentleman, Ron (or Pam is just faster than you and beat you to the shower). ;):D I usually just sneak back outside and hose myself off while I'm waiting.

One of my favorite TC’s, and the only one I own. I hope I can pick up one of the 14’s!
I really admire the color of the jigging on that TC, Leslie; I think @RDaneel has one with very similar distinctive coloration!:cool::thumbsup:

No need for apologies GT! We all get behind sometimes. ;) The Workhorse and the Churchill share similar features, single spring and two blades. I believe they are also the same length at 3-3/4”. After that they are two different knives. I like them both and if I had to choose one over the other it would be a hard choice. I’m really glad I don’t have to! :D

I’ve never seen a Tarmundi before. It looks pretty neat. Do you have a shot with the blade open?

A drawer full you say, dc50 dc50 ? I can believe it. I’m already considering getting another in stainless for the kitchen drawer.

Thanks, GT. The Boker had a very delicate "gold" filigree tree shield that fell off. I couldn't decide how to best re-attach it in a manner that looked clean, so I didn't. I kinda like the look now. The "face" is in the eye of the beholder. That's a nice tandem of canoes that you are commanding.

Hey El Dorado county! Placer County here, Auburn to be specific - howdy neighbor!
I was wondering who else lives around here. I am in the Bay Area but we are trying to move up to that area. The gold country and Sierras is my favorite place on the planet.

Auburn really is beautiful, we used to be “out in the country” but we are now on the verge of being a medium city. Placerville, Grass Valley, Nevada City are all smaller country towns. There is usualy good pickins for old knives at our flea markets though!
