The warren and braud accompanied me for errands and cutting grass, and the bunkhouse helped me make the 1st gumbo of the year. Wife asked for one even though it’s still 95* outside.

Mmmm good gumbo.... one of the things this Texas boy misses about his time living in Lafayette! And that Warren and Braud make an excellent combo.

I’ve been picking up ‘projects’ at estate and yard sales. You’ve inside me to get off my dead arse and start learning as well!

Great way to find them! There is a huge flea mkt this weekend that I’d love to go to in search of project knives, old files, or whatever, but my daughter has a raging cold and it may not be the responsible thing to do - dragging her all over a fairgrounds.

I’ve been greatly inspired by some of the really talented people here. Glenbad and others. Check out some of the modding threads for some eye popping talent.

I am just crazy in love with the covers on the knife on the right.

I bet if you held the Schrade up to your ear you could hear the rapids of the Wallkill river :D A little closer please

Thanks guys, that little sleeveboard is old but she walks and talks smoother than most of my other knives. These old knives were built so well. It might be my favorite knife I own. But then again, you guys know how it goes when picking a favorite knife...:)

I used to really be into ww2 armor mostly U.S. models, actually won a handful of awards, anyways I took it upon myself to see if I could guess the model under that great knife, based on what I could see without zooming in on the sprue sheet;) I'm using my phone so screen is small, based on the round headlights and oval windows I started my search, 50's Vette? Nope wrong dash, same for 50s t-bird wrong dash again, that dash in the middle of the pic was going to tell me 3rd search VW beetle, bingo! lol, '54? sorry I like puzzles even if I gotta make them up.

You were pretty close, it's a '56 .
I used to be into building car kits, mostly VW's , several years back. It has probably been 10 or 15 years since I even touched a kit. I dug out some of my old un-built kits just to see what I still have hangin' around.
Here is a pic of '56's box and one of the engine from a Ferrari 312T kit that I started but obviously never finished. Maybe I will do a little work on that engine this weekend. I would love to see some pics of your models, if you have any.
