What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Great pairing today and certainly will get things in flow state !

That is some good wood. That OVB Hunter looks to be especially large. I'd love to carry that if I was headed out in the woods. Nowadays it's just city parks and beaches.

Stuart my friend you have an exceptional wood pile!!!  :D

Thanks for the kind comments, guys. The OVB is 5 1/2", the Empire is 3 1/4". Ron, Gev is corect - that ebony is so fine looking that my cocobolo clowns ran back and hid in the woodpile.

GSJ#14, fresh in the pocket.

That is a fine picture of a very handsome knife.

Delilah's Dastardly Dimples! At least you have a couple of capable knives to meet the challenge of plumbing problems, Stuart!:thumbsup::eek:

Thelma's Thunderous Thigh! Couple of thin and shiny beauties, Stuart!:cool::thumbsup:

Thanks, GT, but I now have a mental picture of Thelma that I can't get out of my head.

Stockman of the Week is a Marbles stag bone sowbelly (thanks, Randy):

That stag bone is really interesting and attractive, GT. Thanks for sharing (I don't remember seeing that one before).

These two for me today

I think I've seen this sharp:)looking two-bladed jack before, Jack, but I can't remember the particulars. Who is the manufacturer? Thanks!

My internet connection is worse than ever today, not even connecting at all most of the time, and when it does the pages aren't loading properly :( Even dropped half my quotes  If it's like this tomorrow, I might just take my Ipad up to the pub

View attachment 988174 These two again today....it's time for some new work gloves...

Looking good Taylor

@5K Qs Holy cow Gary, you've outdone yourself or else your working on a scrabble thesaurus. Either way, thanks.

+1. Well done GT

Thanks Dean, Black Box Winchester :) I was off to the docs this morning and thought it appropriate ;)

@5K Qs Thank you for the kind words and best wishes. I want to add that the details on your Marble, from covers to shield, make this an epic, beautiful knife.

Dave, bad internet is frustrating, but I must correct you:

Bad internet nothing is worse than a bad day at golf.

At least not in the world of recreation or hobbies.

haha been there done that :p I'm guessing you may have had one of those days, where you should have just stayed in the clubhouse and had a par 4 there. :D

I like that one more everytime I see it !! What is the closed length and how do you like it?
Thank you Gev. It is a fantastic pattern. Manny is very underrated as a maker IMO. The closed length is 3 5/8". Extremely well built and very ergonomic. Nice thin blade stock and a real slicer. It finds it's way into my pocket more often than not lately. To be honest I almost unloaded it a few weeks ago simply because I prefer stainless to tool steel but I am relieved no one scooped it up. The O1 steel is growing on me. It is definitely a keeper and a sexy yet very utilitarian pattern, perfect for EDC. Here are some comparison shots for reference next to my new #66 which I believe is pretty common.

I need to get me one of those wallets some day. Every one I've seen seems to hold up well over the years.

Saddleback makes great products! I got tired of my wife needing a new purse every year, she was kind of tired of it too so for mothersday I asked her if she'd want something to last a lifetime. She now has a Saddleback purse. :)

Thank you for such well thought out answer ! It really grabs me on many levels. Fantastic knife !! The blade shape reminded me of Jared Oeser's Native. I really like Manny's handle shape. Thanks again
