What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Here are some of the knives I'm carrying this week.

Miscellaneous Knife of the Week is a Schatt & Morgan #99 (thanks, Jack):

Gary, you have a quietly, quality knife there! Queen made some great ebony and cocobolo jacks.

I think it may be a Photobucket issue GT

Double black for me today :) Technology has stressed me out today, so I am looking forward to having a beer this evening  Hope everyone has a great weekend

I agree on it being Photobucket (aka @^%$#!). No access for about 24 hours!

Your double black duo is delightful, Jack.

I couldn't see your pics for a while, Dean, but they were worth waiting for!:thumbsup::cool: The color of the bone on both knives is superb, and the scratted bone Ancient is always a joy to see!

My Peanut-ish Knife of the Week, a Case chestnut bone CV Swayback Jack (thanks, Paul), isn't very peanut-like except for being a small 2-blade jack, but classifying it that way allows me to carry it more often! ;)

Thanks, Gary. I like the look of the two-bladed SBJ!:thumbsup:

Your picture of a Swayback Jack made me realize what an idiot I can be. I have one much like it, and I like it very very much. When Case discontinued production of the model, I found myself hardly ever carrying it, because I knew it couldn't be easily replaced. I realized that since I'm carrying a 130-140 year old mother-of-pearl knife by an obscure maker (Peters Cutlery of Solingen-Merscheid) with hardly a concern, I should go ahead and pull the SBJ out of the drawer.
They are both in my pocket today. :)

Those are both great knives! Your 130+ year old MOP is fantastic!

I just got an SBJ in chestnut, but I guess they don't make those two bladed anymore. I'll bet it is more substantial in hand.

Your collective shot of the Winterbottom from the other day set me thinking - Was there a Penknife-single-spring 2 blades pattern made in that sublime material too?

Will, I've yet to go looking through the Queen piles for the knife of your inquiry, but I did find a photo of an earlier group. The 2 1/2" model 5 senators in the lower right corner are close to what you mentioned, though I should have a model 15 half congress that is also close.

So everybody talks about knives for watch pockets, usually accompanied by a pic of a peanut or similar, I scratch my head and think "They must have tiny pockets, or sumthin"

I think maybe I can get a trapper and a large stockman in there to :p:D:thumbsup:
From the looks of that "watch pocket" you could get Big Ben in there! :D
