What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Utica

Been there, done that, and still looking like a million bucks.
Today's carry: a 1973 Case Whittler. A good friend gave me this knife...

A very good friend indeed. That’s a beaut.

Because 2 pens are better than 1
Kind of hard not to stop whatever you’re doing, and pull those out to admire the handles, I’ll bet.

The Slimline Trapper will slice up your Sunday roast/ham/turkey, and the Peanut will handle the rest. Great combo.

6hours on the road yesterday to my sister and brother-in-law’s place in Michigan. They bought what used to be an old church camp on 100 acres with National Forest all around. It’s a really nice place to hang out and walk in the woods. A bit rainy, so not going to even try to catch some fish, but it’s warm, and the leaves are starting to turn.
I had Mr. Voos and his buddy Bullnose along for the ride.

Sumptuous stag like that must feel amazing in hand, Ron!:thumbsup::cool:
Soooo gooood my friend! :)

That's a beauty, Ron, and I, too, strive to be "simple but fully capable".
I am finding that to be a good strategy Stuart! :)

Well it’s Columbus Day, some sand and water so I figured a stainless Canoe might work well! Y’all have a nice Monday! :D

True fact, Jeff!:thumbsup: That's a VERY competent, covetable pair!:cool:

Thanks, Lance. :)

I KNEW those pants looked familiar! I have a pair of Schmidt carpenter pants and think they're excellent!:cool::thumbsup: I also have a pair of Dickies canvas carpenter pants that I really like, but the watch pocket isn't as big as on the Schmidt. (The Dickies do have an additional "leg pocket" below the hammer loop on the left leg, which is a great feature. ;)

By placing the knives vertically in the watch pocket, you certainly maximize storage space, David!:thumbsup: But what I wonder about is whether you can get your hand past the knives to access the contents of the "regular" pocket; that's where I sometimes run into trouble with the pockets on some pants. :(

I'm glad I could stimulate some thinking, and some bold action, @r8shell ! ;):cool: That's a pair for you to carry with pride!
Actually, I wonder if my "every knife should be carried" philosophy is due to my coming back to pocket knives relatively late in life. I'll bet I might have a more cautious approach to carrying rare or expensive knives if I had started collecting knives at 32 or 42 instead of at 62. No use NOW in my being extra careful and risk averse so I can enjoy my knives in my old age - I'm already there! :D:cool::thumbsup:

I hear you, Alan & Ace & Rachel! I think the part of my life least influenced by logic is my "knife life".:cool:

Thanks for the S&M and SBJ comments, Dean, and for the Photobucket confirmation. :)

Cool knife, Stuart, and the associated mystery has me channeling Bugs with, "What's up, Doc?":cool:;)

Congrats on the new Little Big Knife, John!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

That's a sexy Solingen stag stockman, G2!! :cool::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Superlative pair, Jack!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Stag and Alox are probably the covers I admire most.

I'm a big fan of the red Case shields, Dean.:thumbsup::cool: Your mini copperhead "on the rocks" is intoxicating! Is the copperlock a full-size or a mini? Does it have a blade coating of some kind?

Beautiful knife in your pics, Mark!:cool::thumbsup: The funky fungi are fascinating, but scary!:rolleyes:

Looks like the 25-26 combo worked like a charm for OSU, Ken! ;):cool:

Sumptuous stag like that must feel amazing in hand, Ron!:thumbsup::cool:

Congrats, Darren; that's a superb knife! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

That Ewok pen knife is sensational, Nick!! Beguiling bone!:cool::cool::thumbsup:

Those knives are NUTS, Harry! ;):thumbsup: I can see why they're a couple of your favorites! The stag 73s have moved my needle for the past 3 years, I think.

Lambsfoot Knife of the Week for me since last Monday is this Wright stag senator pattern (thanks for the GAW, @R.c.s ):

Thanks GT! I took a small course on fungi last year and learned an important lesson: you can eat each type of fungus at least once :D

I always love to see your scrimshaw stockman, it seems to age nicely :cool:

Have a good week folks :) I'm starting off with these two today - Lambsfoot by A.Wright of Sheffield, Sleeveboard by Croisdale of Leeds
Nice stag on the Lambsfoot and I love that sleeveboard, such a cool knife.

Kind of hard not to stop whatever you’re doing, and pull those out to admire the handles, I’ll bet.
Thank you, it’s handy to have them in my pocket to pull out and admire and fidget with when my wife starts talking non stop.:) Nice old Voos and Case you toting today.

Its pics like yours that convinced me to reserve an 85 in polished stag.
Stag for me today too
Beautiful stag shadow zulu(it is a zulu yes?). It’s going to age and patina and look better over time. I need me a stag shadow knife.

Still totin' light today with another half congress; this one a Queen City (1922-1932) in Waterfall celluloid. At 3 1/2", it's slightly shorter than yesterday's version, and just as slim.

Zulu, yes. John does a great job on them. I also have a duplicate but in mammoth bone.
