What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Cold, wet, and windy, brrrrr. This beautiful smooth bone TC elevates my spirit.

Knew this cold was coming, some macro fun before the butterflies get froze out.

Awesome images. John!

Sunny and cold here in Syracuse. Rumors of snow flurries this week. Oh yay.
Lightfoot and Lloyd along for the ride today.

Great photographs, Jack ! Swallow Street...lol. That pic makes me think of Oliver Twist

LOL! :D Thanks Gev, I had never heard of Bentley's before I found the knife, but they go back to 1916 (http://www.bentleys.org/). Knife is a few years younger

Admirable pair of lambsfoots, Jack; they boost MY spirits!:thumbsup::thumbsup: What's the lamb card all about?

Thank you GT :) Eee bah gum is a Yorkshire exclamation, not heard that often these days, which roughly translates as 'Oh my God', or 'Oh by God'

Enchanting pic of an excellent stag knife, Ken!:cool::thumbsup: Are the Buckeyes represented in your pic different from Jack Black's "conkers"? They certainly look similar!

I think they are the same thing GT :)

Speaking of tigers, that's a notable black/orange combo, Jack!:cool::thumbsup: Thanks for the chestnut bone support. :)

...

As is true every day of every week, I'm carrying these knives:

Thanks again my friend, seeing your regulars always makes me smile :)

SAK’s #1.9010 Day Packer, aka Flower/Florist knife, Thanks:thumbsup:

That's a very useful looking knife.

I'm starting the week off with these two, my AC Lambsfoot and an IXL Sleeveboard.

Sexy sleeveboard, Jack. Luminous!

I’m starting the week with these two in my pocket! :)

You have a potent pair there, Ron.

I picked up another Voos jack.

I vote for Voos.

Swaybacks in the rain...

Very nice picture, r8shell, though I was hoping they were drenched in mineral oil.

Calling Marko...hey my friend :p

Great old knife, Gev.

Old Familiar

Thatnk you and @Fodderwing for the OT love.

Camillus four line jack today

And the bar lifts just a bit more. You and Nick are doing a great job keeping the old knife banner flying.

This is a large fungus!

Fabulous fungal photo, Travis.

Boy's knife (14) today.

That's a great picture of a fine knife, Ken.

Today's carry: my blood red TC Barlow and Case mini copperhead.

I was captivated by that mini copperhead, Dean. It is really sinuous.

Great photographs !! Really enjoyable !

Thanks, Gev. Just trying to keep up with all of the others.

Little Camillus today.

Wow, Nick. You and Steve are bringing the cool heat with some honest old knives. Thanks.

Going with another Lambsfoot and Penknife combination today :)

Great pictures, again, Jack. The irony is not lost on Gevonovich Gevonovich or me that Bentley's Oysters are/were located in Swallow Street. Classic, as is that lovely tasty sleeveboard.

Lockback for a change. Nice knife, but has some mass.

Robust and good looking,

It’s Twotrappertuesday!

That's a fie pair for Twosday, Jeff. I can only get halfway there today, as I have to get "dressed up" and go shopping with my wife. It's sorta like "deer shopping" - lots of walking and looking - but without the fresh air and solitude.

It’s the first time totin the #43 Orange Camel Bone and of course my frequently carried Ashley’s Choice Lambsfoot! :)

Those lovely AC Foot O'Lambs are as thick as fleas on a cur dog around here these days, but that orange camel bone is an eye-catcher, Ron. What a beauty! Congratulations on both.

Today it's the Boker.

He' a handsome old boy, at that, r8shell.

These two knives prove to me that I don't really know what I like in a pattern. I passed on the Big Bays when they first came out and it turns out that it fits me well. I never considered a sowbelly and now you couldn't get this one away from me.

I liked your earlier pairing with your wee stag, Alan, but this pair is the ticket. Maybe it's the similarly smooth surfaces.

Knew this cold was coming, some macro fun before the butterflies get froze out.

Spectacular pictures, John. Thanks for sharing them.

Mutt & Jeff are a grand brace of knives, Stuart!:thumbsup::thumbsup: The graceful little stag is gorgeous, but that groovy great Queen intrigues me, especially the placement of the EO notch. How does that notch feel in hand while using the knife? I'm surprised that it's not placed to maximize leverage on the blade.

Thanks, GT. I don't notice the notch, yet finger placement seems to give a secure hold and adequate leverage when slicing. Hwen closed, it is placed at the widest section of the blade and a bit forward of mid-point, so leverage in opening is excellent. The nail nick is almost redundant. I like your EDC selection today, especially the inscribed Alox.

I feel into a trap of going shopping with my wife today, so I'm carrying light for a Twosday. A Queen #19 trapper (1958-1960) - at least it's two blades today.

Edited to add: I just noticed that I was able to capture, not only the tree reflections, but also the overhead phone/cable lines in the spey blade.

Jack Black Jack Black Really enjoy seeing your old pen knives! The covers on your Lambsfoot is beautiful.

@5K Qs Thank GT! It’s hard for me to go a day without a pen knife. On days when I don’t post a pic of a pen knife, I still have one in my pocket but don’t wanna bore you guys showing the same knives. I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, I love the Case Soddie. Is that an alox solo with your name etched on the blade? Gift from your school? I’ve been really tempted to get one lately. Looks like such a reliable user knife.

D Duckdog Thanks Stuart! Sorry you got trapped to go shopping with your wife, I feel your pain. With that awesome trapper you’re toting today, you’re supposed to be the trapper, not the trappee!!(is that even a word?):D

I really enjoy this Camillus rope knife. At 3 1/4” with some meat in the handle, it feels great in hand is razor sharp. It’s in my pocket today along with a pen knife, of course.

Excellent red and black combo Dylan :)

Going with another Lambsfoot and Penknife combination today :)

Thank you, Jack. Very nice to see you sporting some vibrant autumn colors with your choices today.

These two for me today. It’s the first time totin the #43 Orange Camel Bone and of course my frequently carried Ashley’s Choice Lambsfoot! :)

A stunning picture, Ron. I do think you got some of the best coloring in that particular run of Orange Camel Bone.

Got on a different vessel this morning behind the casinos in tunica ms. Brought a different knife with me to closely inspect for the next 3 weeks haha. Enjoy your dayView attachment 1004485south bound with the current and loaded barges headed to New Orleans to dischargeView attachment 1004504

You have quite the occupation. Though I do not know enough about it to say it is enviable, I certainly wouldn't mind the river views on a daily basis. Excellent knife choice as well!

Decided to keep a nice black duo close at hand today.

John that TC Antique Barlow is a great knife but I really wanted to tell you those pictures are beautiful all the need is a butterfly knife in them. :D

Thanks, it's beautifully hafted, one of my favorites. Only butterflies, no butterfly knives here. Tried one once, too clumsy, don't want to get stung :)

@Prester John @5K Qs That '84 Tigers team was phenomenal. As a Red Sox fan, I remember all too well.

So my shameless Red Sox book plug is "The Teammates - A Portrait of Friendship" by David Halberstam (or just read any and everything by David Halberstam).

Swiped from the big online bookstore: "At the core of the book is the friendship of these four very different men--Boston Red Sox teammates Bobby Doerr, Dominic DiMaggio, Johnny Pesky, and Ted Williams--who remained close for more than sixty years."

These two for me today. It’s the first time totin the #43 Orange Camel Bone and of course my frequently carried Ashley’s Choice Lambsfoot! :)

They look okay as a pair but I guess if you carried your 43 Stag instead of the Ashley's Choice , they may pull your pants down . NOT a pretty mental picture my friend .
That is a couple of very nice looking knives my friend .
