What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Nice ebony lambsfoot, FBC!:cool::thumbsup: I'm carrying a Mercator this week (see below); let that be a reminder to you! ;)
Dave, I didn't know there were wood versions of the Mercator!:thumbsup:
Truth be told either did I until I went to there home page. :D
Dave (you gave away 40 canoes??),
Yes I did, that was when I had decided one hand knives were the best thing since sliced bread a dumb move that was.
How do you like that one, Dave?
You know what the blade on the mule gets so sharp, just using back strokes on a fine stone, also the lockup is quite firm.

Nice color and grain on your cane by the way. I usually use a telescopic stick with pistol grip when hiking, but would like something in natural materals. I have tried to find a collapsible or screw together model, I know these exist, but are expensive and hard to get. At Gomera on our holiday the stick proved it's worth.

Thank you very much sir :) I had a stick similar to yours made from aluminium, but gave it to a friend who never uses it, I rather wish I'd kept it  I have seen sticks made from natural materials which fold into sections. I hope you can find one that you like, they are invaluable sometimes :)

Thanks for your comment, I would like to have one in stag, but it has not been easy to find ...

They are not the easiest to obtain due to the Indian ban on Sambar exports, and the photos shown by vendors are sometimes misleading. However, they are obtainable

Very nice Gev :)
I am off to a place called Newmillerdam tomorrow, been called something like that since the 'new mill' was built there in 1285, but prior to that it was called Thurstonhaugh, an Old Norse name thought to mean 'the water-meadow of Thor's stone' :)

Hope everyone has had a good week :) I am carrying these two today my A.Wright 2018 Guardians Lambsfoot in ebony for Black Friday, and the Case Swayback Gent that Gary @Peregrin very kindly gifted me a while back :)

Thank you, Pal ! Two fine looking knives for your sojourn and the wood on that cane is smashing ! water meadow...I like it :D

Outstanding Osage, Ron.

That's a fine photo. This is the view from the front porch of our hunting place, though not as artistic. It is a great place to sit, sip, talk, and share cigars.

I'm luring him in tomorrow with food. We'll see how it works out. Catch and release, probably.

Stuart thanks for the OO compliment. It’s a mighty fine handle material which can take on a darker Patina type character with use and age. :) That’s a mighty fine looking photo from the Porch. I can imagine that a person would probably need a pair of waders and a scoop to keep it clean during hunting season. Food most definitely works and most definitely catch and release! :D

Tom (have to confess that the edges came to me like that)

Cool trio GT, especially the Marinera, hope to see more of that one in the future

The first place I thought of when I saw your picture was St. Louis because one of our Daughters sent us some pictures this morning . She lives in Arnold .

Harry

HA, I live 15 minutes from Arnold :).

That's a fine photo. This is the view from the front porch of our hunting place, though not as artistic. It is a great place to sit, sip, talk, and share cigars.

Thanks Stuart, a hunting camp is one of my favorite places in the world to hang out. You have a great view
